but for me, California is all about the coast 🤣

Honestly, the US is like a beautiful land, maybe even the best on Earth after that!😳

But there's no point giving us Midwesterners local government. We're too passive for anything, plus in our counties, it's always just the big shots and local sheriffs calling all the shots...

To me, Indianapolis feels like this cool little urban spot that totally has the potential to be the capital of a powerhouse Midwest region.

But yeah, like you said—the real question is whether we Midwesterners even actually want that!

Treating California as a single cohesive region or county is an impossibility, both from a geographic standpoint and because of the sheer difference in how people actually function.

The folks in Charleston still act like they're the center of the universe and somehow superior to everyone else; there is absolutely no way they would ever let someone from San Francisco tell them what to do.

Let’s be real and not get too heated about national identity: Charleston isn't even part of California. The California region pretty much ends once you hit Memphis.

Charleston can just stick to its own little county stretching down toward Key West.

You guys are like three times smaller than Texas... get it? 😉 If you actually want a powerhouse region like California or the Midwest, then fine—just merge them into one big administrative unit!

That’s my number one rule, and I’m sticking to it.

People over in the Pacific Northwest seem to be holding their own quite well—they’re relatively cohesive, they stick together, and they actually fight for their interests. But looking at the rest of the country... there’s just no sense of unity.
So, where is the actual spirit of California in all this? Is there even a coherent political identity for the state, or is it just San Francisco looking out for itself, San Diego doing its own thing, and Key West off in its own corner? Why doesn't California unite to demand its rights and push back against the sheer idiocy of Underworld Washington, D.C.—which serves as the ultimate symbol of centralism in every single sector? Is there simply no appetite for that kind of movement in California? Are you all actually content with things staying exactly as they are, or am I missing something here? You don't even have a strong regional party to call your own—unless, of course, you consider the Republican Party to be your local representative.

Istria isn't fractured at all!

Like, ninety percent of the American population in Istria lives right within Istria County.

California and the Midwest are split up into four or five different counties, so honestly, the first move should be merging everything into one massive, mega-county!
Trump has totally lost his mind. There isn't a single shred of evidence to back up this phantom idea of "Muslim rearmament." Honestly, if you listen to Trump's latest outbursts, it feels like he's just looking for any excuse to pick up right where those atrocities left off back in the summer of '95.
