Don't sweat it—your time will come. There's really no point in forcing things or hunting down some "perfect" partner—you won't find them that way anyway. When the timing is right, they'll find you. Until then, just keep focusing on what you do and actually enjoy the work you're putting in.

But before you let the chills take over, maybe consider there are plenty of mundane, earthly reasons why a book might slide off a shelf or why you thought you saw a flicker of light. In any case, try to recall every little detail. Spirits don't usually just show up without some kind of warning—unless, of course, you're actively inviting them in, which was the case during my own two encounters. And believe me, those weren't exactly pleasant or cozy experiences. Luckily, nothing happened to me personally. If you find yourself in a similar spot, just pay close attention to what's happening around you—watch and listen. Don't just freak out or hide under the covers right away.
