Can I charge my MacBook Air via a USB hub? in Laptops ·
So you've got those Thunderbolt ports on your laptop, but the hub is probably just standard USB—even though they both use that same USB-C plug, the actual speeds are worlds apart than what you'd expect.

Monitor buying guide (mega-thread) in Computer Peripherals ·
wanderingsurfer4 said:I'm not really looking for a gaming setup, I just need it for work stuff, so I've been eyeing a 34'' ultrawide, and while a curved screen isn't a total dealbreaker, it would be a nice little bonus. I'd definitely want to hook it up via Thunderbolt, but honestly, I've been seeing some reviews mentioning a few headaches when using it with macOS, so I was wondering if anyone here has actually tried it out or maybe has a better recommendation.

So I actually picked up a Dell U3419W recently—got it for basically half of what the Dell U3421WE goes for on the HGspot site—and I've gotta say, I'm loving it. It runs super smooth with both Ubuntu and Windows, though I can't speak for macOS since I'm just rocking an old MacBook Air with a mini DisplayPort and I don't have the right adapter handy, but being able to run two different computers through one single monitor has been such a lifesaver for my workflow.
It's basically just your standard welfare system measure for people who have been out of work for a long time, nothing too crazy.

Downloading movies in Germany in Law ·
Go check out that old thread about Germany expats, I think they were talking about this there.
It’s honestly not something you want to mess around with, because at the end of the day, you usually end up having to cough up at least a portion of it anyway...
Image leveling techniques in Software ·
One way you could tackle this is through super-resolution:

The easiest route is probably just using some specialized diffusion or maybe even something like a selective Gaussian blur in Photoshop to respect those edges, and while you won't magically conjure up details that weren't there to begin with, the overall image will definitely look a lot better.

A little Batman minifig usually runs you about $25.

Honestly, the LEGO Batman sets are some of the priciest licensed themes they've ever released lately.
Good luck with the hunt.
