I’ve got supplemental coverage through GEICO.
I was wondering—if I head into the hospital for surgery and just flash my card, am I stuck paying the bill upfront and then chasing the insurance company for a refund later? Or does the hospital just bill them directly?

I dropped my supplemental coverage through the state agency last month—not exactly thrilled with how things were going—and now I’m looking to switch. Does anyone have recommendations for a solid provider that actually covers international medical costs? I've got some travel plans coming up.
