Why is it so hard for some people to fall in love? in Spirituality ·

Is this just a common thing for people who are more spiritually inclined? 😁
Or is it simply true that once someone reaches a certain level of psychological maturity, they stop falling in love? Is it because they realize infatuation isn't real—just a mental projection where you see perfection in someone else, even when reality tells a different story?
I’m not talking about mental health issues or asexuality here. I mean that feeling where someone is physically attractive and incredibly sweet, yet something is just missing, leaving you thinking you might actually be better off on your own. 😁
Some people argue you can only find the person you truly need once you've reached full self-actualization. Then there's the whole twin flame theory, which suggests that two flames have to go through their own individual journeys before they can finally reunite, whether that happens in this life or the next.

I think anyone can fall in love if they want to, but not everyone wants to surrender to it—exactly for the reasons mentioned above. Whether that's maturity or something else, I don't know. I used to say it was just a matter of emotional intelligence.
