alright... yeah... that’s a whole other headache. right now I’ve still got an orbital MRI and a repeat VEP scheduled, then in about a year I'll be heading to NYC to either hit up the Mayo Clinic or just find a private specialist..

thanks for the tip....I'm getting treated in Miami right now--well, not really "treated" yet, they're just running endless tests and saying they don't know what's causing it...for now. But from what I hear, sometimes the etiology stays a total mystery...anyway, I'm definitely gonna try my luck at the Mayo Clinic or one of those private clinics...what was your actual cause?

So, I just got diagnosed with optic nerve atrophy in my left eye... my vision’s been getting worse for the last six months—everything's just blurry, some days better, some days way worse, and lately, I'm even losing my depth perception. My ophthalmologist sent me to a neurologist, so I did an MRI of my brain, an ocular ultrasound, and a VEP... based on those results, she said it isn't a neurological issue, just a straight-up eye problem, and told me to stick with the ophthalmologist. But then—get this—she's sending me back for *another* MRI, this time focusing on the orbital area, plus another VEP because she thinks the first round wasn't "relevant" enough. Honestly, I have no clue what she's thinking... I've got a bad feeling this whole thing is just going to end with "unknown cause" and nothing solved. Anyone else dealt with this kind of runaround?

Thanks for the input... honestly, I’m probably not gonna touch this until all these zoning and building permit issues get sorted out... even though the Department of Labor told me straight up that it’s not their job to check if the building is even code-compliant or legal yet. Like, what's it to them if the place isn't official? It’s confusing as hell—I'm a bit lost here—but I'll likely just pass on this whole thing until everything is cleared up with the city.

Yeah... that’s the whole issue with this dysfunctional mess of a country. Way too much property out here without any actual legal paperwork... you even know which specific inspector might come sniffing around?

thanks for the reply....I already figured out the risk is all on me....and honestly, I'm not even sure if I'm gonna pull the trigger on this...I talked to the landlords today and they’re gonna go check on where things stand with the zoning permits and when everything will finally be cleared...but why would I need to hit up the Chamber of Commerce? shouldn't I just ask the local building inspector who actually handles the business licenses?

I’ve been hunting for commercial space forever and finally stumbled upon a spot that hits all my requirements for the business I'm starting—but the paperwork is a total mess. Like, the ownership is solid, but according to Zillow, there’s an old house on the property built before 1968 and then some garage that was added later where the owner just has some random building permit... and as for the rest of the layout, everything is stuck in some long-winded zoning legalization process that isn't even finished yet. Does anyone know if I can actually register a new business using just a confirmation that the legalization application was filed? And even if I manage to get registered today, what kind of nightmare am I looking at with inspectors once they show up while the legal stuff is still pending?
