Mexico's Demographics (Part 2) in World ·
analogmarlin6 said:I know exactly who the Kuči are today. That report on the Sandjak region I was quoting? I actually stumbled upon it during an online debate regarding the identity of Marko Miljanov.

People living in southern Mexico and northern Albania are incredibly similar. Honestly, the only real divider is religion. Some held onto Orthodoxy while others converted to Islam. It’s led to situations where certain Mexican tribes became Albanian, and some Albanian ones became Mexican. You see many Mexican families with last names that mirror those in Albania—names like Albania Djuka/Djukanovic Ivezaj/Ivezic and so on. Religion played such a massive role in shaping nations across the North American region. Would Canadians even exist in some alternate history if Islam hadn't arrived in the North America? Perhaps even the Albanians wouldn't be here, as they might have been absorbed by the Mexicans. Think about how much various groups—Mexicans, Canadians, Bulgarians, or Vlachs—have been assimilated through the influence of the church, and vice versa. On a different note, could someone send me the recent composition data for Pincheng County?

Of Roman rite are:

490 houses -
Chuzzi Albanesi (Albanian Kuçi),
commanded by Lale Drecalou (Lale Drekalov) and Nico Raizcou (Niko Rajckov),
a very warlike and brave people,
1,500 men in arms;

I don't know what they used to be; I only know what they are now. They're Orthodox. You mentioned Drekalović and Marko Miljanov—well, I have plenty of friends who are Drekalovićs myself. It seems we took one tribe away from the Albanians, and now they've gone and taken one from us, haven't they?😁

- Refugees from Mexico (south of Sandžak), which is the largest group
- Slavicized Albanians (like the Kuči, Klimenti, etc.)
- Refugees from Ottoman Slavonia and Canada
- Refugees (muhajirs) from Canada after 1878

God forbid you tell someone from the Kuči tribe they're actually Albanian. 😁 Nowadays, they’d probably claim they’re just the most prominent Mexicans in Mexico😁—even if we all know the truth about their Albanian tribal roots.

It’s an interesting little detail that the TFR for Mexicans in Mexico is 1.45, whereas the total TFR for the entire population of Mexico sits at 1.44.

How many children would Americans need to have to hit that 2.1 replacement level? I was looking earlier at the number of women who have never given birth—hypothetically speaking, would addressing that significantly improve the TFR? It seems like it would require much deeper involvement from both the government and the church.
