Then, on the printed version or within the digital invoice itself (I know you use Synesis), just note the total amount in EUR based on the Federal Reserve mid-market exchange rate from the day you write it. That’s how I handle everything on my end.

Thanks for the tip! I actually have one more question: is it possible for me to open, say, a foreign currency checking account? I'm asking because if we aren't supposed to be collecting payments directly in dollars, I'm a bit confused about where our foreign reserves would come from—especially since all outgoing payments can just be handled via conversion from a standard US dollar account. It's all a little fuzzy to me right now.

I really need some quick advice here if anyone knows the drill—is it actually legal for me to issue an invoice in Euros? I’m currently billing a shipping company over in Germany, and the client is specifically asking for the invoice to be in Euros... so, what should my next move be?

Logically, you'd pay the April obligation by May 15th, 2014—but if they drag their feet with the paperwork again, it might be later...
Either way, the payment in May (covering April) should reflect the 15% rate.

Thanks! Honestly, I think we should probably hear from the software developers themselves—like the folks behind QuickBooks or Xero—since they’re going to have to update the systems to handle these changes anyway.🤷

I haven’t really been keeping up with all the news lately—specifically since those health insurance premium hikes started kicking in—so I’m feeling a little out of the loop. Has anyone else heard anything yet? I still haven't received any official notice in my mailbox or via email.

I run both a retail shop and an auto repair garage. Recently, I pulled a piece of equipment from my retail stock to use over at the garage side of things. Now, I’m stuck wondering about the best way to handle the paperwork to make sure everything stays above board. Since I work within Synesis, I wanted to get some input—should I just process it through the retail side as a transfer to wholesale (since that’s how all our other supplies move between departments), or would it be smarter to just issue myself a formal internal invoice or delivery note to add it to the small equipment inventory? It’s valued at roughly $2,160 before taxes. Does anyone have a better way to approach this?

Thanks so much!

Question:
Does a small business owner have the right to claim per diem expenses when traveling for business, and what’s the actual process for paying those out? Also—should this be recorded through the standard payroll system? Thanks!
