I’ve been thinking a lot lately about where we draw the line between regulating public airwaves and straight-up infringing on creative freedom. It feels like every time a major entity tries to push boundaries, there’s a massive, coordinated pushback from the "watchdog" groups that claim to be protecting the public interest.

It’s a weird tug-of-war. On one hand, you want some level of oversight so things don't get totally out of hand, but on the other, it feels like these regulatory bodies are increasingly being used as a weapon to police content that they simply don't like. It makes me wonder if the "guardrails" are actually there to protect us, or if they're just being used to enforce a specific social or political orthodoxy.

I remember back in the day, there was a sense that these agencies were just there to keep things orderly. Now, it feels like every single piece of media is a potential legal battlefield where dozens of advocacy groups jump in to pick a side. It's getting harder to tell who is actually fighting for rights and who is just fighting for influence.

Do you think these regulatory agencies are still fulfilling their original purpose, or have they become too politicized to be effective?

Male, 23 years old, just looking for someone who can actually hold a conversation that goes beyond the usual surface-level nonsense—though I’m certainly not above a little lighthearted banter every now and then if the mood strikes 😁 . I promise I’m not some mindless drone or a carbon copy of everyone else out there; if you're interested in seeing if there's a real connection, I'm happy to move things over to Facebook or text 🙂
