Project: Find a Friend (Classifieds / Meetup Thread) in Psychology & Therapy ·
Hello everyone!

I am currently looking to connect with some new people in the Washington, D.C. area or perhaps the surrounding suburbs—ideally within the 18 to 27 age range—for casual socializing and the potential development of genuine friendships. Whether it be grabbing coffee, catching a movie at AMC Theatres, taking long walks through Central Park, attending concerts, or even the occasional night out at a club, I am quite open to whatever we might decide upon. 🙂
While I would prefer to meet women, I am certainly open to meeting men as well, provided the interest is strictly and exclusively for friendship.

On a more personal note, I would very much like to meet someone who understands that terms like anxiety or depression are not foreign concepts to them; perhaps we could support one another in stepping slightly outside of our respective comfort zones. I am searching for someone open-minded, tolerant, and patient, as I tend to require a certain amount of time before I feel comfortable opening up to new acquaintances. I find myself drawn to those who don't quite fit the mold of modern society—those who see the inherent futility in all the rigid templates, models, and norms we are supposedly expected to follow. I hope to find someone who possesses that rare balance of being serious yet playful, someone who hasn't lost their sense of childhood wonder.

If you happen to be feeling a bit lonely and find yourself longing for better company, and if my words resonate with you, please do reach out. It would truly make me happy to hear from you! 👍

Hello everyone!

I am looking to connect with a woman from Washington, D.C. or the surrounding areas, roughly between the ages of 18 and 26, for companionship and potentially a meaningful friendship. I'm thinking coffee dates, catching a movie, long walks, concerts, the occasional night out at a club, or really whatever we decide on together. 🙂

It would be wonderful to meet someone who understands that terms like anxiety or depression aren't foreign concepts to them, so perhaps we could navigate stepping outside our comfort zones together. I am seeking someone open-minded, tolerant, and patient (as it takes me a bit of time to truly open up to new people). I'm drawn to those who don't feel the need to conform to modern societal expectations and recognize the futility of trying to fit into arbitrary molds and norms. I value someone with whom I can discuss deep, philosophical topics, yet also engage in casual conversation about daily life and typical feminine interests. Ideally, someone who possesses that rare blend of being serious yet playful—someone who hasn't lost their inner child.

To be quite candid, I have little interest in superficial relationships, gossiping, or individuals who complain incessantly without any intention of actually improving their situation. Similarly, I find intrusive, pretentious, or egocentric personalities quite draining. Based on my past experiences, I tend to click best with calmer, more reserved individuals (much like myself), though I wouldn't rule out meeting someone with a diametrically opposite temperament, provided they have enough patience for an introvert and our particular quirks. 😁

As a bonus, it would be lovely if you have an interest in psychology and spirituality, enjoy cats, or occasionally fancy a night out listening to classic country music. 🤣 However, please know that none of these are strict requirements.

If you find that any of this resonates with you, please do reach out; I would truly enjoy getting to know you. 👍

Greetings,
I am looking for someone to begin some correspondence with, and we can see where things lead from there. Lately, my social circle has become somewhat diluted, so I believe it would be beneficial to introduce some new people into my life. I am 22 years old and currently based in Washington, D.C. To avoid being overly verbose here, I would prefer if you were somewhat close to my age, though location and gender are of no consequence to me. 🙂
