I feel like every time a teenager breaks a record, the media immediately starts crowning them as the future of the sport. It's hard to tell if these prodigies actually have the longevity to stay at the top or if they just burn out by twenty. Do you guys think we're overhyping young talent too early?

Hey everyone!
I’m pretty new here—honestly, I’m still figuring out how everything works around this place—so I thought I’d just drop a quick note to introduce myself.
I’m looking specifically for some female friends. I lost touch with most of my girl friends a few years back when I moved to Washington, D.C.; I just didn't really find my footing here, and before you know it, you find yourself feeling a bit isolated.
Please, if you're the type of person who judges others for not having a huge social circle, skip this one. Moving to a new city is a big deal, and sometimes people just drift apart—it isn't that deep, there's no grand philosophy behind it.
A little about me: I'm married, 32, and actually expecting my first baby, so moms with kids are more than welcome to reach out too. I wasn't entirely sure if this was the right way to go about it, but since I’m fairly introverted and tend to keep to myself, I don't really meet many new people in my day-to-day life.
