Project: Find a Friend (Classifieds / Meetup Thread) in Psychology & Therapy ·
I missed my "starting Monday" resolution, but I jumped the gun on my New Year's one, hoping this random Tuesday might actually bring some luck.
Throughout this whole pandemic mess, I’ve felt incredibly lonely and vulnerable—and honestly, I still do. I have zero interest in facing any more life-altering shitstorms on my own.
I am looking for someone who sees the world through a different lens, someone who often struggles to fit into the standard mold of society.😁
Life happens, and I've certainly accumulated my fair share of trauma, frustration, and disappointment along the way. My sense of humor has turned pretty dark and sarcastic because of it, though I haven't completely lost my optimism just yet! 😁
I won't lie and say I don't dream about finding my prince or meeting Xen 🤣 but the reality that perfection doesn't exist is stronger. Instead, I'm searching for someone who values love, commitment, and family—someone who understands that making things work is a daily choice and a constant effort... provided we actually click.
How will we know if we're compatible? We won't truly know until we meet in person, but you can run a quick elimination test first: 🙄
My writing style is probably already exhausting for you.
You don't understand why someone would feel the need to turn product labels to face the front.
You aren't a library member, nor do you read or buy books.
You don't have favorite movies or directors.
You actually enjoy the heat and sweating under the sun.
You've never dealt with anxiety or depression because you consider yourself an "alpha" and view mental health struggles as nothing more than excuses for lazy people or weaklings.
If you answer "yes" to any of these, please don't bother reaching out. 😛

In my mid-30s.
