JPMorgan Chase: What are your experiences? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Ashley Vaughn79 said:The app is working! 🙂

I'm so excited I don't even know what to do with myself.
I was actually thinking about taking my savings and splitting them up between three different banks, just to be safe. I really don't want to deal with that feeling of being helpless or having my funds frozen again... it wasn't a great experience. 😁

After all this sheer stress, I’m seriously considering just hiding my money in various socks around the house.☕

It is entirely possible they are just experiencing an overwhelming surge in traffic right now, which would explain why 🤔
My mobile banking app is working perfectly fine, though I must say, for some inexplicable reason, I have never once been able to successfully transfer funds from my savings account to my checking account through the phone app—I can only ever manage to do it via the desktop site! 😢

It appears that the mobile banking application is still stubbornly refusing to function as intended, much to my profound disappointment 😢

You're probably the only other person here with the b-free account, right?
Personally, I'm not even holding my breath for a card or a PIN, and I'm honestly pretty skeptical about whether the JPMorgan Chase app will even work properly. 😁

Also, I assume all those people rushing in are actually leaving their money behind now that Wells Fargo took over?

I possess a B-Free account as well, and one can access it through online banking.
However, the mobile banking application remains completely non-functional. I find myself in a rather peculiar situation where a certain savings account of mine reached its maturity, and the funds were automatically transferred into a specific checking account. While that account is visible within the mobile app, it remains entirely invisible when using the desktop online banking interface. Therefore, I am truly, sincerely hoping that the mobile banking service will finally become operational today. 🕺
EDIT: Ha, ha, ha... well, it appears online banking was available until just this moment, but as I attempted to log back in just now, it informs me that the service is temporarily unavailable until noon. Let us simply hope that after 12:00 PM, everything will be rectified and working smoothly...

And honestly, I find myself in complete agreement with that assessment. I actually went out and opened an account at a new bank just this morning and immediately reached out to my company to update my details, only to be told by HR that I am quite literally down to the wire, as they begin their monthly payroll processing tomorrow, the 1st, and therefore they simply won't be able to switch my account information in time for this cycle.

Let me share my experience from this morning, and frankly, don't even bother wasting your time waiting outside a branch. Yesterday, I submitted an order through my Bee Free account to transfer funds over to my checking $1667 because my checking balance had hit zero. Fast forward to this morning, and the online banking app is completely non-functional. While the news outlets have been broadcasting that the daily withdrawal limit has been set at $2400, the ATM itself won't let me pull out more than $667. To make matters worse, they haven't moved the money from my Bee Free account to my checking—it is glaringly obvious they have frozen all savings accounts—which has left me entirely without any liquid funds for basic living expenses, despite the fact that I technically have money sitting in my savings accounts that I simply cannot access right now.
Saving for my kid in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·

Given the ongoing instability surrounding Chase Bank and the relentless stream of news reports suggesting the institution might be facing a total collapse, I am genuinely at a loss regarding how to proceed 🤷 Does anyone here possess actual, reliable insight who might be able to enlighten me 😉 specifically concerning how much risk I am truly taking if I continue to keep my child’s nest egg under their roof?

Is anyone going to weigh in? 🤷

The little guy's gonna have a blast, and you can bet the results will follow. 😍

😉 This kid is actually quite an incredible artist; he can draw exactly what’s in his head, and he even knows how to write lyrics—not just in English, but in Italian too! He spends most of his time sketching the cartoons he watches, and if I’m being completely honest, he isn't exactly the athletic type. However, those mediocre grades he's pulling in school are nothing more than a direct reflection of his total lack of motivation; the subject matter simply doesn't capture his interest, so he just doesn't bother putting in the effort. Consequently, I find myself unable to complain about his report card, as he truly gets exactly what he deserves.

Honestly, I feel so much better now that I realize I wasn't the only one going through this🤣

Now, don't get me wrong, I’m not exactly losing sleep over this whole situation, but I suppose I had always just assumed that for those easier subjects, you could easily walk away with an A, whereas math and English were the ones that truly terrified me. Perhaps it is actually for the best that things turned out this way; I really wouldn't care if my teacher mumbles his way through a music lesson, as long as he can teach us how to write properly and handle basic arithmetic.😉

Susan James said:In my opinion, we really shouldn't be grading subjects like art, music, or PE at all.

Well, what can I even say about it, because honestly, my kid pulls straight A's in everything from History and Math to English, yet somehow he's pulling C's and B's in Art, Music, and Gym. It feels like I am quite possibly the only parent out there who actually has to sit down and help their child study for a music exam, which is just absurd. 🤣
Not that I am complaining, mind you, since his teacher is absolutely wonderful.

wanderingscout13, I truly appreciate those constructive insights you shared.
I have actually been giving quite a bit of thought to investment funds lately, though I must admit I am completely out of my element when it comes to navigating them. Where might one go to find the most reliable information—perhaps you could point me toward a specific resource or a helpful link? Please, if you wouldn't mind, because that particular avenue seems incredibly compelling to me.

Hi, it's called a sock 🙏

Thank you, I am certainly aware of that particular option, though I must confess I had never heard any mention of it actually yielding interest!😍

Alright, everyone, I am reaching out because I could really use some collective wisdom here.
I am currently thirty years old, and I have reached a point where I feel a profound necessity to begin setting aside some sort of savings—something intended to mature over the next three decades or so. To be perfectly honest, those third-pillar retirement accounts just don't hold much appeal for me, and I find the idea of high-premium insurance policies quite daunting; my current salary isn't exactly substantial, so committing to a heavy monthly obligation feels incredibly risky. (I say this with a bit of caution, having watched my parents struggle after they tried to fund their own insurance policies; things went south with their employment, they couldn't keep up with the premiums, and then they were hit with these terrifying notices demanding they either pay everything upfront or lose every cent they had already put in. They simply didn't have the cash on hand at that moment, and they ended up losing about $1,500 down the drain.)
What I am truly looking for—given that I occasionally receive some extra income a few times a year—is a flexible way to save where I can deposit larger sums whenever I have a windfall, while still contributing small, manageable amounts each month. Essentially, I want to build something incrementally without being forced into a rigid structure. Does such an option even exist here in the States?
Thank you so much.
