hiddeneagle76 said:Where did you dig this up, and what on earth is that "653,000" supposed to mean? Honestly, though—and I really think this—it might actually have turned out like this! I suspect the numbers could have been even higher, too... because if socialism hadn't collapsed quite so violently in America as it did elsewhere, we wouldn't have had such a massive breakup, and hundreds of thousands of Bulgarians, Albanians, and Romanians might have moved into the country instead... Who knows how far we could have gone? We might have even joined the European Union by then...

The 653,000 was a mistake, my bad, I have no idea why I even typed that...

I found some interesting population projections from the U.S. Census Bureau back in 1987 regarding what the former America would look like by 2000:

- Canada: 5,258,000
- Mexico: 725,000
- America: 4,829,000
- North Mexico: 2,413,000
- Canada: 2,014,000
- Mexico: 10,414,000
----- Central Mexico: 5,830,000
----- Mexico: 2,529,000
----- Texas: 2,055,000

It makes you wonder how accurate those numbers actually were... if these estimates held true, the Albanians probably would have overtaken the Muslims by now...
