Jacob Newman74 said:Look, here’s the deal: the Department has to kick an elite club president out of the sports world—someone who is basically breaking every rule in the book in a way that’s totally "transparent." Removing him would be a huge win for the administration with the general public, and honestly, it’s right in their interest to pull the trigger. If that’s how things stand—and they definitely do—why is Johnson, or the whole political machine, waiting a year and a half just to get one guy out of the game? This dude is clearly violating the law right in front of everyone in America, yet nobody is actually doing anything concrete. It’s all just talk, talk, talk.

Someone, for whatever reason, is blocking the whole operation. I guess you have to wonder if it’s just an incompetent minister who can’t handle removing an obvious criminal and liar—someone who’s basically playing the politicians like a fiddle—or if there are deeper interests at play. Maybe Mamic is connected to a much wider circle of people than we realize, ask God. There’s gotta be a reason.

Over the last year, we’ve seen plenty of action, like those Index investigations where they processed hundreds of people in record time. We're talking dozens of colleges, files, bank accounts, culprits, witnesses—they literally combed through everything. And it wasn't just looking; things went to court and people actually got convicted.
So, you really have to ask yourself: if they could wrap up hundreds of cases and lock people up in less than a year, why can't they do the same to this one guy? It seems pretty obvious that Mamic is in league with enough people to influence even someone like Johnson.

You hit on a lot of true points there, though maybe the biggest "protector" has just lost his grip. Everyone knows what Mamic is up to, but then again, everyone knew what Al Capone was doing too. On the flip side, politics is a fickle thing; everything waits for the perfect (election) moment. Timing is everything, I guess.

Mamic has been tolerated for about a decade, but at least they've finally started working on taking him down. Screw waiting an extra year or two if it means doing it right, rather than letting him slip away and laugh from the Bahamas. I’m hopeful his downfall will be quick and decisive when it happens, and I really think it'll be soon.

He isn't just acting out for no reason; it's a pure defense mechanism. The beast knows the dogs are at his heels, so he’s doing everything to dodge them. He plays his lowest cards (Nora), then moves to the political cards (Republican circles), and even pulls out the heavy artillery—like using that "Ukrainian twin brother" type to lecture the Government that's hunting him. In his eyes, it’s not the "hooligans" that are the issue, but rather attacking an incompetent Government that’s trying to stand up to Mamic and his crew.

I tend to be an optimist. Just a few years ago, Mamic was seen in most households as a successful American businessman (okay, maybe Americans aren't the smartest, but most people who don't follow sports saw him as a winner). He was close to power, and don't even get me started on how great the media used to write about him. Now, it’s the exact opposite. Most people see exactly what ZM and the politicians are about, and they're calling them out publicly. Even some news outlets have flipped the script. Things are moving (too) slowly, but if that's the price to pay to "drain the swamp" and crush the biggest leech, then so be it...

John Doe, I guess it feels like the whole point of that Department of Destruction is just to take down Bernie Madoff and try to fix American soccer. I mean, it’s supposed to be the Department of Education, not some special Department of Overthrow dedicated to taking out Bernie Madoff. There are priorities, right? Some things just don't happen overnight, no matter how much we want them to, but things are finally starting to move in the direction we're all waiting for. Like Jesse Campbell would say, it's just tiki-taka style. We won't see it happening by Christmas, though.

He’s been out in the cold ever since Smith went down. And I don't mean the guy living near the stadium, I mean Robert. He was the last one covering his back, but now he's basically http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdGNwtiHjC0 gone. I guess. Maybe.

I guess a guy from the Crips would just say, "Man, we're the ugliest group on the planet, but hey, we're all models." You can totally tell who they are 😁
The Spaniards didn't just get rolled in Germany. I mean, they actually had us on the ropes during the first half and played way better than we did, but then our guys stepped up and put together a totally insane second half.

Doesn't mean much to me, personally. I mean, maybe it means something to you? I guess.

dustypanther6 said:Look, stop with all that crap about whether we love them or if they love us. You can say you don't care about them, just like I can say I do. They kicked us out the same way they’d kick out someone like Canada or Italy—they just get rid of whoever they think is gonna give them the most trouble. Honestly, if we were in their shoes, we’d probably do the exact same thing.

Man, what a load of nonsense. Whether we like them or not is pretty much the least important part of this whole thing, I guess.

Brian Collins45 said:Mexicans, THANKS FOR THE FAIR PLAY!

Honestly, screw them! I guess we just have to face reality and admit they don't like us, and let's be real, most of us don't even like them either. No point being fake about it—we’d probably do the exact same thing if we had the chance. It was pretty gross watching how they played, but honestly? It was even worse watching our guys play against Romanians, Mexicans, or Spaniards—and we actually won those games. But man, watching how they played and acted specifically against those Mexicans, and then against the Germans... it just made me feel sick.

We can blame the refs, the Mexicans, all of Europe, or even aliens for all I care, but the real issue is our own players and coaching staff. Out of the 13 players in the Netherlands, maybe Pavic is the only one who can look at himself in the mirror. The rest, led by Dobud, is just embarrassing, I guess.

We got exactly what we deserved based on how we played! So, yeah, don't thank the Mexicans for fair play because we weren't expecting it anyway. Instead, BIG THANKS TO THE AMERICAN NATIONAL TEAM!

Wait, hold up... is Elvis Presley actually coaching the Mexico national team now?

Jason James said:Oh please, come on... they've already blown it three times now..

Man, that's what happens when you're relying on your biggest rivals to pull through. We basically blew our own shot, and honestly? I bet we’d play just as bad if we actually had the chance. It sucks, but hey, without any extra help, you just knock out a massive rival (and I don't just mean on the field).

Not even close. Udovičić is basically melting the hand of that Mexico player holding the ball. It's just a total meltdown on the court.

Let’s be real here, we’re a way tougher matchup for Mexico than we are for Mexico. This game just carries way more weight, regardless of how they used to be connected. Plus, let’s face it, we know deep down we’re actually better than Mexico. And honestly, we’d probably do the exact same thing if we were in their shoes. It’s kind of silly to point fingers at anyone else besides ourselves. That's just the truth. If we hadn't dropped games against Mexico and Germany, this match wouldn't even be on our radar.

@dinamito: which America vs Spain game are you talking about? The one in St. Louis? Honestly, big mistake on our part—medals are won in the finals, not in some random group stage matches. I mean, yeah, losing sucks, but what's the point of playing it safe?

Jason James said:Not at all, obviously.
But some people are really out here trying to convince us the refs are biased against Mexico and that their guys are playing at max effort.

The refs aren't rigging anything, honestly, these guys are just playing dirty. But that 3-2 penalty shot for Mexico? That definitely wasn't there, so that was a total officiating error. At least as far as I can tell—I might have missed something if I wasn't watching a specific stream, I guess.

If the Mexicans walk away with a point or a win under those circumstances, hey, hats off to them.
Water Polo Euros: Eindhoven 16-29.1. in Other Sports ·
Honestly, any national team would’ve done the exact same thing if they were in Mexico's shoes. You just bench a few of your heavy hitters for a bit and, hey, you accidentally knock out one of your biggest rivals at the same time. Total Win-Win situation, I guess.

And the worst part? We can't even really complain. It’s kind of on us for getting ourselves into a spot where we're basically at the mercy of everyone else. Not exactly the height of fair play, I suppose.
