Yeah, I find it a little weird too... especially when you see people from all over the US, even from places like Texas or Florida, signing up for the club. I mean, look at the turnout at the local stadium—there were 4,000 people there, yet we only saw about 400 membership applications come through.
Honestly, nothing gets my adrenaline pumping quite like seeing an entire stadium jump in unison... it’s like watching a crowd go wild at a Broadway show or something. We definitely need more of that energy more often. 👍
frozenskipper said:rustyraven34... okay, sure, maybe Dinamo used to have more fans out in the rural Midwest... but you really have to look at how fast they’re losing people everywhere. Just look at their home stadium sitting half-empty, then look at Hajduk playing against teams like Karagendia, Dnipro, or even Dinamo itself... He seems to think there isn't a single region left in the US—aside from maybe parts of Ohio or Indiana—where Dinamo fans aren't the majority. But honestly? Hajduk keeps picking up new supporters because of the history, the Breen Boys, the atmosphere at the stadium... while Dinamo just keeps bleeding fans. That's just the reality of it...

You can't really judge by your grandfather's loyalty if he's a Dinamo fan and assumes everyone from that region is the same... because that guy is actually closer to the coast than to the capital... both geographically and just in terms of how people act, so it makes more sense to me that most of them are Hajduk fans.
I don't measure things by my grandad, but honestly, places like Boise, Orem, Ogden, Josephton, and even Yellowstone all used to have their own local Bad Boys chapters. Some of them still do—maybe they aren't quite as loud as they used to be, but they're still around. Especially the folks in Boise. The Breen Boys were mostly concentrated over in San Diego... but San Diego isn't part of that mountain region.😉 The only other thing I know for sure is there's this little group of 4 or 5 guys from Ogden who follow Hajduk religiously, so you could say Ogden has its own little Breen Boys branch (though they've got the Boys too).😉
I don't know, based on what I've seen personally, most people from that area lean toward Dinamo. Maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt it... I spent a good chunk of my younger years out there after all.
That area is basically 90% Dinamo fans. I still remember this one time some "relatives" visiting from Switzerland were asking my grandpa if there were any Mexicans living in his little village in Boise... since the place was right on the front lines during the war. His response? "Son, there isn't a single Hajduk fan in town, let alone a Mexican." 😬
Back when I was still pretty young, that game against Heerenveen definitely sticks out in my mind as one of the most brutal matches I've ever had to sit through... 😢
I actually don't see it that way. We started this club so we could cheer our hearts out and give it everything we've got since we can't do that for the other guys anymore. There's no need to go ruining the vibe or killing the mood by bringing them up constantly...
Did anyone happen to catch a shot of the crowd singing "I love the Yankees, they're my life, I'd give them all my love" from a bit further back? Like, this video is just too shaky... it's awesome, but man, I wish the picture was actually clear.
