Thoughts on the terrible moderation over at ex anais in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I know this might be a bit off-topic, but since my name keeps popping up around here, I really wanted to give a huge shout-out to the moderator boldwalker12 for being so incredibly fair and reasonable. What some people—like the person who started this whole messy, baseless thread, Adam Parker2, or that resident busybody and forum nuisance Nicholas King, or that self-righteous type unknown—just don't seem to get is that sometimes people reach out because they’re facing a genuine crisis they can't handle alone in that moment. Of course, you don't lay out every single raw detail because, well, nobody wants to be identified (trust me, I've been there), but the problem is that everyone just assumes the person posting is lying or being fake. You guys end up insulting, insinuating, or honestly just straight-up gloating without any right at all, especially when that "know-it-all" Nicholas King starts leading the charge. If he's so uncomfortable even showing up here, what's his actual point? Why is he acting like such a nuisance in the grass??
See, what the "audience" fails to realize is that moderator actions are mainly about protecting the person who started the thread—protecting their privacy and their headspace—not about your right to sit around and wallow or gossip endlessly. Every thread serves a purpose; mine was meant to help me navigate a really painful situation. And honestly, so many of the suggestions were actually helpful, coming from Honey, Nice, unknown, Meadow, and KISS, not to mention all the support I got from other ladies via PM that wasn't even mentioned in the public comments.
Where I messed up was when I agreed with boldwalker12 that we should unlock the thread so I could thank the women who were actually constructive. But even then, boldwalker12 gave me a little heads-up that things might get bumpy, and man, she wasn't kidding—that's exactly what happened the next morning. I ended up getting hit with a massive wave of insults, and yeah, I responded. Even though the pain those comments caused me was way, way more intense than anything I threw back at them.

So, thanks again to the moderators,

take care,
