So, when does the selection for religious education actually happen? Is it right at the start of the school year?
During the initial enrollment process for first graders, these subjects aren't even mentioned. I really hope that doesn't mean students are just enrolled in religion by default.

Is there any way to "tuck" those 45 empty minutes into another class? I'd love to know if this can be arranged and who I should talk to about it. Even if I have to be a bit of a nuisance, I would much rather my first grader spend that time learning a second language, coding, shop class, drama, or music—anything remotely productive.

Are long-term prescriptions—you know, the ones that stay valid for six months—still a thing? I'll be on Synthroid for the rest of my life, but my primary care doctor insists they don't exist anymore. Now I have to scramble for a new prescription every single month.
