Religion classes in school - Megathread

And why shouldn't kids taking religion classes also learn how to think critically?
Why does it have to be one or the other? 😉
Critical thinking and making responsible choices based on actual facts should be for everyone... I mean, what kind of society are we even building otherwise? 🤦 🙂
Personally, I feel like religion classes belong exclusively in a church or temple—where kids are already hanging out with their parents anyway—rather than in school... plus, if schools used those slots for social workers, psychologists, and speech therapists instead, we’d end up with a much better, smarter society (and everyone would be way more mentally healthy too)! 👍
