tox thanks for the advice 🙂, but look, I get everything you're saying. I knew from day one that this lifestyle wasn't healthy, but I always managed to tough it out... until I just couldn't anymore. Learning how to actually stay organized? That's a massive struggle for me. It's my biggest issue, period.
You’re spot on. I used to be so on top of things, getting everything done ahead of schedule, but now? It's all just high-pressure campaign mode... and honestly, I'm starting to miss deadlines more often than I'd like to admit. I finally realized that ever since I started college, I basically nuked my entire social life and dropped every single hobby just to focus on school. That's exactly how I ended up here. Even over summer break, I couldn't even chill because I was constantly stressing about finals. Now I feel like if I fail even one thing and end up being a total failure, the self-loathing is just going to crush me. I used to actually enjoy my morning coffee while catching up on the news or browsing some sites... now it's just endless, mindless scrolling through social media that never ends. I can't even tackle the smallest tasks without procrastinating. I have zero energy. I just want to sleep forever. I've been thinking about taking a gap year just to reset and try to fix my mental health. I'm still torn, but I am just so burnt out on everything. I used to be able to juggle it all, but now? My drive is just gone. I don't even know how I'm gonna make it through the end of the year... Maybe I'll try going for a walk or something. Can't hurt, right? 🙂
Thanks for the reply 🙂
I try to change, I really do, but something always gets in my way... I still want to tackle college, but I just can't bring myself to do it. Even when I finally sit down, I hit this wall. Total mental block. I can't get anything done—just staring into space, zero focus...
Hey, first time posting here. Hoping someone actually has some decent advice. So, I'm a junior architecture major. My focus? Non-existent. I can't get anything done, and even when I do manage a few things, they're total garbage. When I started college, I was on fire—fit, happy, totally driven. I basically lived in the studio, rarely went out, but honestly? I loved it. Then sophomore year hit and I realized my body couldn't handle those all-nighters anymore. My health just tanked. I’m constantly sick. My GPA took a massive dive too, which sent me straight into a depression. It's like I just let myself down. Now that I'm a junior, the dread is real. I know I'll eventually have to pull an all-nighter again, but instead, I just sit there scrolling through stuff online. I can't focus. I can't force myself to work. On top of everything, I feel empty. Just zero motivation. I could stay in bed for days doing absolutely nothing... I've reached the point where I won't even leave my apartment for days at a time. I've never been this irresponsible or lazy in my entire life... and then the next day, I'm just pissed at myself because I wasted another day. It's this endless, vicious cycle I can't break. Throw in constant waves of sadness, rage, and disappointment 🙂... I recently ended a long-term relationship where I felt miserable, and things were actually looking up for a second, but now it feels like I've hit another dead end. I tried hitting the gym to get back on track, but after one week, my lymph nodes started swelling up and it's been going on for two months. I've already burned through three rounds of antibiotics—two for my throat, one for a bladder infection—and nothing works. I don't even know how to start fixing my head or my body. I'm 20 years old, but I feel like I'm eighty. And look, I used to be such a positive person. I always gave it my all... now, it's like that person is just gone.🙄🤷
