Starting an LLC - looking for some advice in Economy ·
Taylor Brown12 said:I’m going to lay this out very clearly and concisely, because I am honestly at my wits' end here... nobody seems to have a straight answer for me, and it's driving me a little crazy. So, if anyone actually knows the answer, please, be so kind as to explain it to me. Thank you in advance.
So, here is the situation. I’ve officially set up my LLC. My primary business focus is running coffee shops—which I’ve already launched—but I also have quite a few other secondary activities listed on my registration. What happens if I want to branch out into something else that I'm already technically registered for? Like, say, I decide I want to offer makeup services or perhaps handle vehicle title transfers... what exactly do I need to do?

Look, you just perform any activity you've officially registered for... you do the work, you bill the client, and you log it in your books. 😉 It doesn't matter how wildly different the jobs are, as long as they're all listed under your business registration. 😁
Printing issue - purple lines appearing on prints in Computer Peripherals ·
Hey there,

So, I’ve run into this annoying little hiccup whenever I try to print photos—text prints just fine, but photos? Always the same headache.
It started happening pretty recently.
I'm running an HP ENVY Photo Series
And I’m being careful here—everything is genuine, official ink and all that jazz.
The weird thing is, it doesn't matter what I'm using to send the job to the printer; whether I’m using the manufacturer's own software, jumping into Microsoft apps, or just hitting print from macOS... it happens everywhere.
Doesn't matter if it’s a color shot or a black-and-white one either.

Here’s the deal: once the print job is basically done, that very last strip—maybe about a quarter inch or so along the whole length—it takes on this weird purple tint.

Is the print head shot, or is it something else entirely? It’s specifically happening at the very end of the cycle, like the final pass.

The printer isn't even that old—only been around a few months. I’ve gone through about 6x70ml of ink, and most of my tanks are sitting somewhere between 60% and 90% empty.

I use this thing strictly for photo work, specifically printing on high-end, professional-grade photo paper.

While I'm waiting on some paperwork from the Census Bureau, I've got three questions:

1.) I’m meeting with my architect tomorrow to work on rezoning a space from industrial to commercial, so I can hopefully snag a building permit for business use. Does anyone know how much it costs just to get the permit issued? I already know what the architect is charging, so that part's fine.

2.) There's a house right next to the commercial space, maybe 15 feet away. I'm thinking about having her rezone that one to mixed-use too, so we have the restroom situation sorted out immediately + my girl wants to start a jewelry business or something, so it would be handy. Is that actually doable?

3.) Do I really need to hire an accountant, or can I handle the books myself? I mean, I won't be doing it totally solo—I'll have someone helping me—but I'm planning on running the show myself.

Turns out they stopped taking new applications because the budget ran dry... though apparently, everything already in the system will still be processed normally, if you believe the official line. :-/

Man, I’m really stressing over this whole failed grant situation. I'm just waiting on an answer, but if it doesn't go through, I might just shut down the business, head to the unemployment office, and then start up a brand new 😁😁

I guess I'll be eating a $567 loss if I actually land that 25,000

And listen, to get that 25 grand, you have to commit to keeping someone on full-time payroll for a whole year, pre-allocate every single cent of where it’s going, and then stick strictly to that plan—nothing else. Double-check every tiny detail before you make a move 😉 ... because heaven forbid you miss one obscure requirement. You’ll end up paying those salaries all year, and then on top of that, you'll be stuck paying back the entire amount plus interest...

Watch your step!
