Don't go underestimating the political landscape surrounding the Spaniard.
Ferrari's biggest sponsor is Santander, which has a huge footprint in the UK, and Sainz is basically Lapan Elkan and Binotto's project, whereas Leclerc is more of a legacy from the late Marchionne.
At Ferrari, politics has always been about stabbing people in the back.
You either had to drive like a maniac right against the wall or spend half your time looking over your shoulder.
The vultures are always circling.
