Breast pain/tenderness in Women's Health ·
Hi,

Any women here dealing with breast pain? I’m struggling with it—and I don't mean the usual PMS stuff. It hits me hard and can last for days or even weeks at a time.

It isn't my bra; everything fits perfectly, so that's not the issue.

Along with the pain, there's this intense tightness, almost like there's constant pressure inside.

On top of that, the veins in my breasts have become really prominent. They've been visible since puberty, but lately, they seem much more pronounced. Does anyone else deal with this? I'm wondering if it's linked to the pain.

Could diet, exercise levels, or stress be factors here, or is it none of that?

Every OB-GYN I've seen has basically brushed it off when I bring it up. If they won't address it, who will?

Has anyone dealt with this? I'm mostly concerned about the pain, but the visible veins are starting to worry me too. Any solutions or advice on how to manage it?
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Hey. Does anyone know the best place to see a gastroenterologist? Like, specifically who should I book an appointment with?

And what's the average wait time for an opening?

I'm hoping I can still squeeze something in before the end of the year.🙄

Hey, does anyone know a solid physiatrist or physical therapist in NYC who can actually give me a straight diagnosis and a clear treatment plan? My lower back has been killing me lately—it’s constant, whether I'm standing, sitting, or lying down.

I’d really appreciate a recommendation, because there are so many private practices out there now that it's impossible to know where to go.
Also, I'm looking for something reasonably priced. I'm fine with paying up to $50 per hour for sessions.
Sanitary pads vs. tampons: What are your favorites? in Women's Health ·
Anyone else struggling to use tampons because of vaginal dryness? Even during the first or second day when the flow is heaviest, I can't get one in without causing massive irritation everywhere.

Is this a sign of an infection, or am I just not built for tampons?

The worst part is I can't even tell who they are—the ones above me, the ones below me...? It's hard to say, haha.

Back in 2016, I was staying out in some coastal town in Florida—you know, one of those places absolutely crawling with seagulls—and first thing in the morning I thought I was hearing my neighbors screaming at each other, but nope, it was just the damn birds. 😁🤔😁

Dammit, you're right. I'll go with the note. These people are driving me nuts, and they’re getting louder by the minute. 😠

They'll just ignore it and pretend they didn't hear anything, obviously. What else should I expect?

Here they go again, for crying out loud... 😠😠

I’m exhausted and just want to crash since I have an early shift tomorrow, but I can't even turn off the TV because then the whole house will hear everything—my dad is in the next room too. Give me a break.

And there’s nothing I can do about reporting them, because technically it doesn't qualify as a noise complaint. 😠

It’s not like they’re screaming; it’s just enough noise that you’d feel the need to knock. They aren't shouting or anything, but you know how it is—late at night, every little sound carries, even just heavy breathing.
Look, I'm in my room and my parents are in theirs, so it's not even an awkward situation.🤷

Plus, I can't exactly go knocking on their door; my parents would just ask where I'm going in my pajamas this late at night.😬

If I lived alone, I wouldn't care; I'd probably just learn to tune it out.

It happens even more often at my place, and yeah, okay, it’s definitely louder (though we try to be somewhat considerate when people are working; we aren't trying to traumatize the kids).

Did you come here just to brag?

Jamie Adams6 said:Honestly, I’d take sex over those unruly brats running around all day kicking balls against the walls. The neighbors downstairs used to make such a racket I thought they were trying to tunnel their way up to me—just waiting for a hole to pop through the floor like some cartoon. And man, the neighbor looks like she weighs about 1,600 lbs... pretty sure she hasn't seen action since before she had the kid.

I don't think it would bother me *that* much, but who knows? I can't hear anything besides the constant thudding of the ball and the heavy breathing of a guy who looks like he's having a heart attack just walking up a single flight of stairs.

Fine, whatever. You made me feel a little better.

Am I the only one who feels weirded out and annoyed at the same time hearing my neighbors having sex? It happens several times a week.

It’s just awkward because I live with my elderly parents.🤦
