Am I weird just because I'm not like everyone else?

George Cook said:The OP is an introvert.
She retreats into her work; her office is her sanctuary.
Yet, she bristles when her family points this out.
That is the crux of it.
Imagine if friends called to invite her to a concert or a festival—any situation requiring her to step outside her "introvert comfort zone."
she would simply say, "Sorry, I'm working on a project," and retreat back into her shell.
I am certain she loves her job, but she also loves the insulation it provides. She avoids friction and stays out of the spotlight.
Now, this is what I really wanted to ask.
From what I can tell, the author does hang out with friends—maybe not as much as "normal" people, but she still has a social life.
My question is: is this socializing always strictly scheduled and crammed into a calendar, or does a friend ever call out of the blue for a drink or a movie and completely wreck the schedule? 😁
By the way, if you're up at 5:00 AM, what time are you hitting the sack? 9:00 PM? 10:00 PM? 🤔
