Even more than that, plenty of people actually hold back on buying material stuff because they have money. So yeah, cash doesn't mean anything by itself, and it definitely isn't a 100% guarantee for happiness.

No way, absolutely not.

And besides, what even is "happiness" anyway? I mean... there's a lot you could say about that.

The fundamental issue here is defining what happiness actually is. Only once we establish a definition that most people can agree on can we truly discuss how money influences it. To me, the more pressing question is whether people would be inherently "happier" if money simply didn't exist at all...
