? You can't expect high wages in industries that are currently thriving in India, Indochina, and Africa.

Essentially... the tailor, the cobbler, the miner—everyone expecting salaries north of $1,100. It is fortunate that the market is handling this "cleanup" on its own, ensuring those sectors no longer exist.

Indeed, they are essentially neo-communists. They might lean right on matters of ideology or religion, but economically speaking, they aren't true conservatives.

I could just as easily back the most far-left unions during a referendum regarding pension reforms or similar issues...
