By the way, the OP already mentioned what kind of topics get posted on this forum. Believe me, as a security guard, you're basically nothing. You’re out there pulling double shifts like an intern for $4,500 a year, working day and night like a fool, and nobody gives a damn about you. People practically spit on security guards. I know this because I spent ten years working as a firefighter for a private security firm. Security is one of the worst jobs out there—both because of the pay and because you're constantly having to prove you actually have authority.

I know for a fact firefighters aren't allowed to run red lights whenever they feel like it. They can go through a red light if necessary, but the driver is still on the hook. Every time they do it, they’re taking a massive risk. No one is going to jump out and defend them. If something goes wrong, it's on them. People will just report that there were lives at stake inside the truck.

What do you guys actually know about computers? I just installed macOS, and honestly, my IT help desk is dealing with the exact same weird issue you're having. Try googling "black screen after login." Some people find fixes that way, though they didn't work for me. Open the run command and try running scannow to see what errors pop up.

I still haven't fixed my own issue. I'll see if I can get it sorted by tomorrow, or maybe I'll just head over to the local repair shop. I'm going to test the voltage on the power supply first, then move to process of elimination—testing the GPU and RAM. I'm pretty convinced this is a hardware failure, not a software glitch.
