Look, if you went door-to-door conducting polls, you'd hear just about anything—from aliens to secret agents from overseas 🙂 You can't be shocked by every wild conspiracy out there. The real question is whether this is actually a widespread belief held by any significant group, or God forbid, the majority. And personally? I don't think so.

Look, I get where you're coming from, but I wouldn't say I'm totally clueless here. I've been lurking on American forums for years now—I've been following all this stuff for at least a decade. Around here, these kinds of debates are just starting to pick up. Am I some kind of expert? No. But am I informed enough to have an opinion? Absolutely. 🙂

And since we're talking "personal experiences," let me throw in my two cents: in my book, most of those hardcore right-wingers are way too rigid for my taste, while the leftists have pretty much completely lost their compass.

I’d say I lean toward the middle, but the middle has always been... well, kind of bland to me. Nothing special, nothing intense.

Yet, at the exact same time, people denying basic biology are coddled. It's already becoming illegal in Canada (and likely in the US within ten years) to call them out on using wrong pronouns. Instead, we have to adopt their fabrications. It’s a classic case of an influential minority lobby forcing its version of "justice" on everyone else.

I'm with you. All of this holds up, from Sweden all the way to Canada. I've been watching this play out for years now. The left has gone completely off the deep end. It’s reached a point where they’re finding ways to ignore fundamental biology and dismantle everything that has provided social cohesion until now. No matter what that cohesion was built on.

The whole point is, it feels like even the word "Black" is becoming a minefield. Like, you’ll see the news report "person of African descent" instead of just saying someone is Black, even though that isn't even strictly accurate, right? Being Black doesn't automatically mean you're from Africa, but people have gotten so tangled up in this political correctness craze that they can't even figure out which term to use without sweating it.

It feels like everything is offensive to *someone* these days... and honestly, what bugs me is how we're swinging to these extremes just to cater to tiny groups, all to make sure nobody accidentally trips over a sensitive word.

From what I've been picking up so far, the left side is actually way more intolerant than—dare I say—even the extreme right.

The moderate left is basically a ghost at this point, which is why I stopped giving them any of my support.
