I’m also thinking about how much the ruler and triangles matter here. I need to know how that stylus is actually going to behave when I’m trying to line things up against a straight edge on the screen. Also, is there such a thing as a "digital caliper"? Or am I just being overly picky?
Oh, right. I forgot to mention—it’s a dual-OS tablet, so it runs both Windows 10 and Android.
I'm on the hunt for a solid tablet that can actually replace my old-school paper and pen setup—basically a digital notebook that includes an eraser. Any recommendations? I need something with a high-quality stylus. Ideally, I’d love an electronic eraser too, maybe something larger that can quickly wipe away any scribbles or mess-ups on the screen. It would also be great if the pen allowed me to switch up colors and line thickness without the handwriting looking wonky or the letters turning out hollow and weird.
Quick question: can you actually attach files in private messages here? I noticed when making a regular post that there's an option to upload an attachment (up to 10 kB), but I don't see anything similar for DMs. Is that even an option?
Mr. Bishop, I’ve got one question for you.
How does someone become bulletproof so we don't end up stuck in messes like this?
Pride, the "Japanese style":

An artist by the name of Shakti. It's an interesting dance.
The harmonica. It’s just a man with a harmonica, but that sound carries the entire weight of the movie. By the end, you finally see who this "nobody" actually is and what brought him back. If you haven't seen the film, you can get the gist of the whole plot in about eight minutes—just start watching from the 3:50 mark.
We just don't make movies like this anymore—films where a single instrument is woven so tightly into the narrative. It’s an old classic starring Charles Bronson and Henry Ford.
Man, that harmonica sounds haunting in certain scenes.
Looks like Chi Mai made its way into another big flick: Le Professionnel, starring Jean Paul Belmondo.
Seeing Belmondo in an action movie like this... 👍
Oh, right. It just clicked.
Chi Mai. Such an incredible score. You hear it popping up in movies all the time.
One instance was that 1971 flick, Maddalen.

Great music, and even better legs. 😁
That kind of music really hits you in the gut.
For me, it just brings back a bunch of missed chances and "what ifs" from years ago, which always leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
Ah .........

Honestly, just from a standpoint of frequency harmony and basic ear health, it’s bad news. And if you factor in how those frequencies—especially those "masked binaural" types—mess with brainwaves over time... I don't even know where to start. Experimental music for junkies? Are we talking instead of drugs, or alongside them? Never heard anyone put it quite like that before...
Gross. You probably need to be on some heavy narcotics just to stomach this stuff. We really ought to implement some kind of media censorship to ban this sort of "material." It feels less like art and more like Satanic propaganda to me. Honestly, we should look at how Iran handles things and set up a commission to filter this content. Why does the world constantly push garbage and bad news to the forefront while keeping anything decent buried in the background? It ruins the youth and encourages nothing but trouble.

Gross. You can't be serious, listening to that? To me, it sounds like some experimental noise track made specifically for junkies.
Was scrolling through YouTube when I stumbled upon a Harper.
There’s something about the harp; it’s one of those instruments that completely shifts your headspace.
Listening to Bach's Toccata and Fugue on it feels like a totally different experience.
While the harp makes you feel like you've stepped into paradise, the original organ version feels like something ripped straight out of a horror movie.
The sound of heaven:

I was floored—I had no idea a guitar could be this intense and powerful.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gphiFVVtUI&t=4m52sFor comparison, the original Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor played on the organ is pure cinematic dread. Check this out:
Thanks for the input, everyone. I did some digging into the differences between DVI-D and DVI-I, and it turns out modifying a DVI-I port isn't really an option since those four specific pins are dedicated to the analog signal. My plan is just to grab a DVI-D to VGA converter and call it a day. The monitor is definitely an old relic, but it’s an LCD and still works perfectly fine for what I need, so $67 the converter won't be an issue. Looking at the replies, this thread has veered pretty far off course—suddenly we're talking about biology and camera gear. Can a mod please lock this thread? Problem solved. Thanks for the advice.
Look, I get it—we’re talking about an analog signal here, so the picture quality is going to be pretty rough. But honestly? This is just a mining rig that I check on for a few minutes a day. I don't need some high-end 4K display for this; even an old monitor from the 90s does the job just fine. I’m not even plugging it into a dedicated GPU (I could, but then I’d just be hunting for another HDMI-to-VGA dongle), I'm running it straight off the motherboard using the integrated graphics on the Intel chip. My main question is whether that adapter setup I mentioned in my first post will actually work for this specific situation.
My motherboard only has a DVI port, while my monitor is strictly VGA, so I went out and picked up a DVI-to-VGA adapter. Turns out, there’s more than one way to slice DVI. My motherboard uses a 24x1 setup, but this adapter has a 24x5 configuration. When I try to plug it in, it won't even seat because those four extra pins are in the way—plus, the main wide pin is actually wider than the slot on my board. I’m wondering if it’s even worth trying to mod this thing. Could I just snap off those four extra pins with some pliers and maybe sand down the wide pin so it actually fits? If I managed to force the physical connection,
would I actually get a decent picture on the VGA monitor afterward?
Here’s what both versions look like: https://c.76.my/Malaysia/dvi-to-vga-...-F757050_1.jpg
