Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
Steven Castillo82 said:Hey, looking for some advice and help here.

I've been dealing with internal hemorrhoids for about 7 or 8 years now. It hasn't been too bad until recently—they used to show up once or twice a year and clear up quickly. They’ve always bled, though, and were often painful.

About a month and a half ago, I actually had to start using ointment and suppositories because the pain and bleeding got intense. I'm assuming things have escalated.

Faktu actually helped for a few days, and everything was fine until about 10 days ago when the agony started again—and it hasn't stopped. Basically, bowel movements are painful, there's bleeding, and it's just miserable. I've been applying Faktu for a week after using the bathroom, but nothing is helping. A few days ago I switched to Preparation H, but it's no better.
After I go, I just lie down; the pain lasts about 7 to 10 hours depending on the day. Walking helps a little, but I'm too exhausted to get anything productive done.

I think the root causes might be my lack of movement, sitting too much, my diet, and chronic weird digestion—periods of long diarrhea followed by hard stools. I'm not overweight.
My digestion is okay right now—I go every day between 11 AM and noon, which has been consistent all year—but the issue is the beginning of the stool.😁 It's always rock hard at first, which tears everything up, ruining whatever manages to heal overnight.

My questions:

-What can I do so the entire stool is soft, specifically to stop that hard part at the start?

-What should I eat generally, and what should I avoid?

-Any specific meds? Should I take Pilex tablets—yes or no?

-In this state, is it better to lie down or stay moving, like walking or standing?

-Which doctor or clinic should I visit? I want someone legitimate, not scammers just trying to drain my wallet. Money isn't an issue.

I want to fix this once and for all, or at least for a good while.
The problem is my job—nobody can cover for me, so I have to push through at least until New Year's, ideally until Easter, before considering any kind of surgery or procedure.

Help please! Thanks!

Sorry, you didn't specify a single thing about your diet. If you're living on dry food, fast food, pastries from a bakery, skipping meals, or if coffee, smoking, and drinking on an empty stomach play a role—well, the biggest culprit is usually a lack of home-cooked food, fiber, and veggies. You'll feel it very quickly.

Back in my twenties, I used to get this exact same thing due to messy eating habits. When they flared up, it was always because of dry, hard food and those hard starts to bowel movements. Usually, they would gradually recede once I regulated my digestion, though sometimes they'd linger for a week.

Chicken soup and light pasta were my fastest way to recover. In the mornings, I’d force myself to eat bananas and drink at least half a liter of liquid yogurt—no less. Yogurt was the quickest way to soften things up for me, and bananas helped reset my digestion. If you can manage a full liter, even better. If your current diet is causing this, stop immediately and don't mess around; it can turn into something much more serious.
You need to eat regular, cooked meals. Yogurt was my instant fix to get digestion back on track, followed by bananas, vegetables, and lightly cooked meat. Avoid bread, fried stuff, or anything processed.

Who does he even represent? Is he Catholic, Protestant, a Jehovah's Witness, some kind of Messianic Jew...? Or is he just a total troll looking for attention and a quick buck? Is he a gift from God spreading real values... or just some fake prophet?

He's one of those guys who doesn't know how to command an audience unless he convinces everyone else he's the only one with a brain—which, honestly, just pushed him further away from any kind of common sense reasoning.
He built his own little cult following and basically launched a crusade fueled by conspiracy theories. In his private life? He probably hits most of the marks you mentioned—likely a bit narcissistic, maybe a touch emotionally unstable—just like most fanatics who think they're the only ones preaching "the truth" to the dark forces of the world.

J. R. R. Tolkien was a total old-schooler—he basically took the absolute best bits of a classical education and wove them into an entirely new skin. That’s why he hits home with everyone today, from all sorts of age groups and social circles, regardless of their religious outlook.

Those seven stabs Folgolfinov took under the armor while fighting Morgoth—leaving him limping around like Hephaestus... 🙂

Nice—honestly, this might just be the best thing they've added to the lineup lately. 😉
