Greetings. I find myself navigating a rather peculiar legal predicament regarding an attorney I had intended to retain for a partnership of sorts. He has seen fit to issue me an invoice totaling $8333 for some criminal defense proceedings, yet, quite frankly, he hasn't lifted a single finger on my behalf. It makes one wonder—is there any actual obligation to settle this bill when his contribution to my case has been essentially nonexistent?
