Republican Party - General Discussion

Walter Baker2 said:I honestly think we’re witnessing the death knell for the Republican Party as a legitimate political force. It’s reaching a breaking point where the hardliners are either going to stage a total takeover or walk out the door entirely.
They aren't just losing their grip—they’re becoming a genuine threat. Look at the current political landscape and you'll see right-wing movements thriving everywhere, don't you? Populism is definitely collecting its due, too. And if you want to talk about communication standards... just look at their national convention compared to how things were twenty years ago. By the time the next twenty years roll around, the freedoms and standards we take for granted today might just be nothing more than a distant memory.
In a society where people are too timid to even hint at their ties to some local waste management tycoon or shady trash collection deals... can we really expect that rogue faction to step up and save them? Please, dream on! Small-town politics rules, I guess. 👍
