Maybe there's still a chance to change things up if it isn't too late
I wasn't actually sick myself, I was just stuck in self-isolation because my daughter tested positive. So, I ended up having to quarantine because of her.
Can someone please walk me through how Medicare actually handles these payouts? I was checking my portal earlier and saw that my primary care doctor marked me as being in isolation, but on my actual sick leave statements, she used code A0 for illness. I'm just trying to wrap my head around how this all works.
Hey there! If anyone here happens to know how this works, I’d really appreciate some help. Here's the deal: my daughter started showing symptoms the day before yesterday, and she just tested positive at home today. Her pediatrician told us she needs to isolate until Friday, February 11th. My question is, who am I actually supposed to call to report this, and who is the one who officially dictates my isolation period—is it the pediatrician or my primary care physician? I tried calling the doctor's office earlier today, but I couldn't get through to anyone. Also, based on what usually happens in these cases, how long am I looking at for my own isolation? Just so you know, I haven't been vaccinated.
I honestly can't wrap my head around why some people are being told to isolate the second they feel even a tiny bit off, while others are basically living their lives until that PCR test actually comes back positive. Is there some kind of logic there, or is it just random? I'm wondering if those folks who only start isolating after the lab results come in are just getting a pass because they aren't showing any symptoms at all.
Alright, thanks. I appreciate that. Quick follow-up question though, because I was reading about this the other day while waiting for my coffee at Starbucks—how much weight does an American recovery certificate actually carry for someone who hasn't been vaccinated?
Does the isolation period actually start counting from when you first feel like garbage, or does it officially kick off once that PCR test comes back positive?
