Curfew restrictions: Is it legal to leave your house?

I could use some advice here. I've been out of Washington, D.C. for a few days now, staying at a friend's place out in the country. We're just hanging out at the house—not going anywhere at all. My permanent residence is back in the city, but I took public transit out here to visit. I don't have a car, and there aren't any bus routes running. Honestly, I’d prefer to just stay out here until this whole thing blows over, but I'm worried about getting hit with a fine. Thanks, everyone...
