Here’s a quick update: According to their own websites, Greyhound and Arriva should be resuming intercity routes this coming Monday. I tried digging through The New York Times to see if there was any official word on travel between major US cities or trips heading toward Canada and other parts of the European Union, but their sites are saying nothing will happen before May 25th.
Does anyone have a forecast for when they might finally lift the ban on
intercity travel and get those bus lines running again?
When exactly do you all anticipate this measure being scrapped,
so we can finally travel without any hassle around May or June?
And why on earth does it have to be right after May Day?
Word on the street is they’re planning to consolidate the neighboring municipalities so we won't need those damn permits anymore. Honestly? That's actually decent news for the region today.
Do you think they'll actually pull the trigger on canceling this sometime in May or June 🤦?
Do you actually think they'll have
normal traffic flowing again by May or June?
When exactly do you think this mandate is actually going to kick in?
Are we looking at the whole month of April, maybe stretching into May?
Once these initial 30 days wrap up,
is there any actual plan to extend this decision through May and June?
The decision was made specifically to avoid forcing everyone
to flee to the rural towns and islands all at once.
If they did, local doctors wouldn't stand a chance against that kind of sudden surge in patients.
Still, I can’t wait for this restriction to be scrapped
so we can finally get back to normal traffic flow and have the borders fully reopened.
I’m honestly wondering where I should even go to ask this. Does anyone here actually have any intel?
When is intercity bus service finally going to be back up and running?
I already gave Greyhound a call,
but they don't have a single shred of information to give me.
