I’m in the exact same boat as you, looking to get from my place out to the suburbs, while also hunting for a new job at the same time.
I assume if I decide to bike over to the next neighborhood, worst case scenario, I can just turn around and head back?

Look, I get that it doesn't matter much to some random third party, but for those of us actually putting in the work and trying to build something real? Yeah, it matters.

Then you have some individual or even the government just cutting you off from your partner indefinitely. And then they act surprised when young people don't want to start families here, especially when so many people lack any sense of financial security. You never know when you might find yourself unemployed.

I’m currently stuck away from my own home—just a ten-minute drive away—because this law won't let me pass through.
Plenty of people are stuck in this exact same spot, myself included, dealing with the financial fallout on top of everything else. 👎

I’m sending an email to the Department of Justice tomorrow morning. Naturally, I’ll be citing the U.S. Constitution and all those international treaties we signed that guarantee nobody can just restrict your freedom of movement.

There are thousands of couples in America being screwed over right now.

Is this really okay with them? Just dropping an "indefinite" ruling like that and making people suffer?

The government needs to let these couples move freely. And look, I’m not saying this as some "softie" who can't function without a girlfriend or partner.

I can handle it, sure—but it’s just not mentally healthy to have the government telling you that you can't see your significant other.

They need to fix this law immediately and allow travel from point A to point B.

The real question is when someone is going to snap—and I might be the first one to hop in my car and end up in a holding cell because I refuse to run from the cops.

I'm with you! Not only am I unable to get to my partner, but I also have to pay more for groceries if I can even find any.
