restlessdriver42 said:I am uncertain if this topic belongs here... feel free to move my post... though I wouldn't mind staying! 🙂

Let’s spark a minor revolution! 🙂 My first instinct is... laughter!
The second reaction is... "just another lunatic." The third might be "yet another idealist."

If only! 🙂

Personally, I would choose kindness—not necessarily to reach sainthood, but because there is a profound joy in feeling connected to others. It shouldn't matter what their age is, their social standing, their education, their appearance, their politics, the music they listen to, the movies they enjoy, or even their faith. There is an incredible sense of liberation when you approach a conversation with an open mind, knowing nothing about the other person. You can find common ground with anyone!

That is the true challenge: establishing a fundamental connection with every soul you encounter. And you love dogs? Good grief, so do I!

And you enjoy rainy days? I find listening to the rain against the window absolutely soothing.

Simplify things... strip away the noise... close your eyes and look with your soul.

The internet is actually the ultimate platform for exactly this purpose! 🙂

Forget the usual reasons we talk to people. Don't go looking for a partner, a friend, or someone who shares your exact worldview or someone to debate with. Simply aim to connect with a human being.

Keep the premise in mind that our greatest shared reality is that we are all living this life together.

Cast aside the cynicism, the sarcasm, the bitterness, and the suspicion. Choose to believe that any stranger would step in to help you in the best way they could if you were in need. Believe that they would lend a hand if you asked them out of the blue.

Imagine a total stranger online asks you for $167 while telling a story about a sick mother or being evicted from an apartment. You respond with something like, "I'm sorry you're going through this; I'd give it to you if I could, but money is tight," or you simply give it—regardless of whether the story is true. You decide to adopt the stance of a complete naive, believing in the best of humanity.
Even if someone thinks you are making a fool of yourself, you acknowledge the possibility but intentionally ignore it. By doing so, you prioritize human spirit over material wealth and attempt to plant a seed of faith in the human race. Perhaps it takes root, or perhaps people just think you're crazy; either way, the mission remains. A little messiah complex, perhaps!

Because, my friends, I love saying this: 🙂 when a person loses their faith in God—and that happens more often than you'd think—if they are lucky, they realize that in the end, we only have each other.

In the spirit of all the great philosophers and revolutionaries—Viva la revolución! 😁

P.S. I don't actually have cash to give; that was just an example. But I have plenty of good intentions. 🙂

The goal is simply to make a slightly greater effort in our daily lives to act like genuine human beings.

👍

Yeah, it really is as simple as that.

but in the long run... you're just doing damage to yourself. Period.
The famous therapist and author Carl Jung, in his book 'Shadow principle',
talks exactly about this—how lately, among patients, there's an increasing number of people dealing with serious illnesses who belong to the "Law of attraction" crowd or the "Warrior of Light" types.
What they all have in common is that they have absolutely no clue how they managed to attract sickness in the first place
while they were supposedly vibrating at the frequency of love and light...

The universe just doesn't work that way...

Reading this reminded me of a recent trip to the ER with a close friend. We couldn't stop laughing because she was showing me messages from some frantic woman sending her completely nonsensical sentences just to get attention; all my friend replied was, "Good grief, give me a break," haha. 😁

That's actually what prompted me to reply to your post. 😁

Honestly, you could apply this logic to most debates on this forum. The universe operates according to its own laws, and much of the heated arguing here stems from a lack of understanding of those mechanics, which makes the conflict totally pointless.
No one can force that internal spark of realization onto someone else...

Life is simply lived. It isn't a formula where you take three steps left, three steps right, and suddenly reach a finish line. There is no final destination, no avoiding things, and no such thing as "right" or "wrong" moves.

I encourage anyone here to try doing something that others are forcing upon them. If three different people jumped in right now to give you unsolicited advice on what to do, look at how much of it you would actually follow. You won't do anything that isn't a true part of who you are or your own path; you can't act against your own nature. Everything happens for a reason... everything occurs for a purpose. Nothing is permanent or long-lasting, nor is any situation as catastrophic as we often perceive it to be when we feel like the world is ending.

Nicholas Gonzalez8 said:If everything is just an illusion, then we’re basically the illusionists pulling the strings—except we aren't even aware we're doing it.

The Law of Attraction presents itself as this incredibly simple concept, yet most people can't seem to make it work the way they want. That tells me that no matter how straightforward it claims to be, somewhere along the line, the logic is getting twisted.

As for how anyone wants to handle their attitude toward positivity—well, that's entirely up to them.

Wrong. All you're doing by cranking up the desire is attracting more desire. It's a loop. The harder you try, the more effort you're going to feel like you need to put in. That's why most people only ever manage to manifest trivial little things—not because it's easier, but because they subconsciously believe it *should* be easy. The actual effective approach was laid out ages ago in plenty of texts, and honestly, even in the Bible:

« Just as Jesus Christ prays to Jesus Christ and gives thanks before receiving His gifts, we are taught that same filial boldness: Whatever you ask for and pray for, believe that you have received it ( Luke 11:24). That is the power of prayer; everything is possible for those who believe, with a faith that knows no doubt ( Matthew 21:22). Therefore, prayer born of faith isn't just about saying, "Lord, Lord," but rather aligning our hearts to do the will of the Father ( Matthew 7:21). »

Unwavering faith is like making an instantaneous, irreversible decision—it's like knowing your reality has already been chosen, so you naturally feel happy and grateful for it. In that moment of total clarity, manifestation can start showing up immediately, because sometimes it actually begins even before you've made the choice.

You don't actually need to understand or even know about it to live by it; it’s always operating, whether we like it or not. People just tend to dislike what they end up attracting... or rather, what they are actively creating...
The issue lies in a distorted perception of reality, which inevitably leads to suffering—whether that's in life in general or through specific uncomfortable situations.

Ultimately, many people find sustenance in complaining, playing the victim, belittling others, or clinging to their "temperament," and they simply refuse to move past it. That is their right. Those who truly desire change will find it. There’s no sense in exhausting yourself over it, or over other people. It might sound harsh, but we can't possibly see the bigger picture of our own lives, let alone someone else's.

The most beautiful part of all this is that you don't have to read a single word to attain wisdom. You can lead a full, meaningful life without ever searching for it. That's the real magic. All knowledge resides within us; sometimes, we just need to be still.

Anthony Hayes2 said:why assume someone couldn't have their worst possible feeling permanently etched into their consciousness? why can't they be stuck with that, while joy remains unreachable?

I never saw it that way. You don't actually lose anything essential. If you were a jokester, you'll still be one—maybe even more so. You won't lose that ability to laugh, to find joy like a kid, or even those moments where you need to vent some anger or just have a good cry.

But honestly... so many people spend their entire lives gripped by anxiety, and it really isn't necessary.

I know people who wouldn't call themselves "spiritual," yet they live completely carefree because they possess this profound inner security.

There isn't just one "right" way to exist, one specific technique, or a single perfect path. Life can be fundamentally different and much better than the grind most people endure. We all have the capacity to actually live happily rather than just surviving the struggle until the end.

hiddenbear3 said:Joy isn't found by simply typing out the word "joy"—that's just dark magic. Real joy is when you are genuinely joyful. Just imagine if everyone instantly became whatever they typed online; how would you even envision that? Would you want to force yourself to be something you aren't?

No matter how many times you repeat those affirmations, you aren't actually joyful unless it's real; otherwise, you're just trying to convince someone else of who you are, which is nothing more than dark magic.

Well, Dana Brooks3, if that's the most important takeaway from everything I've written, then I guess I've done my job.

Maybe I just need to manifest even harder, and then they might finally show up.

But when there's nothing external to grab onto... you just have to click into it and realize it's already within you. It doesn't come from the outside.
I can offer you some kindness 😁

Joy is always internal; it doesn't depend on anyone or anything else. I remember one day I was feeling pretty low and everything felt out of sync. A friend called me and asked, "Wait, why are you laughing when you're having such a bad day?" and I just instinctively replied, "Because I'm happy."

That is truly the best feeling in the world, and it doesn't come from the world around us. It’s about letting go, rather than clinging to the idea that you should be feeling something different than what you actually are in the moment.

Those are the real pink sunglasses...

Steven Cruz3 said:That's it. Yours. Look, here’s my personal take—this whole thing about setting your own standards for how you live. It sounds good on paper, right? But honestly, it just exposes this deep emotional fragility. You end up stuck in this endless loop of overanalyzing everything—trying to decide if your feelings are "correct" or "appropriate"—compared to how everyone else feels. It’s exhausting. Instead of just letting things flow and actually feeling your life, you’re just digging a deeper hole for yourself by obsessing over whether you're doing it "right."

Look, once you've already hit rock bottom, I think it’s way more productive to go dig some potatoes than to sit around reading about the "Law of Attraction." 🙂

It’s honestly depressing. We live in a country with so many proclaimed freedoms, yet this psychopathic culture is trying to hijack our ability to think and feel—all through these cheap, "instant spirituality" gimmicks. It’s brilliant manipulation, really. There’s no external crackdown or government oppression; instead, people are just building their own mental cages and calling it enlightenment. They're essentially becoming their own jailers. 🙄

Just because you feel that way doesn't make it a fact. I once learned this the hard way during a heated debate at a local diner, and it’s a lesson that stays with you.

Scott Miller4 said:Just imagine how chaotic the world would be if every idiot out there could manifest whatever they felt like. 😁

Regarding ZP, theoretically, we might only attract what we are. And since we are essentially our thoughts (including the ones we aren't even aware of), our deep-seated beliefs, patterns, and conditioning, it stands to reason we'd end up attracting things we don't even want.
In other words, proving how ZP works is probably nearly impossible.

As for the idea of physical reality being an illusion, I've had a few moments where that felt true. There are certain states of consciousness where you feel significantly less restricted than you do in the physical world. Again, unprovable.

What I am fairly sure about is the illusory nature of objective physical reality.

We attract exactly what we need for our growth and lessons in the moment; that's what I meant when I wrote about attracting what we truly require...
Is physical reality just an illusion? in Spirituality ·
Steven Cruz3 said:The issue isn't whether you want that for yourself—it's that you're presenting it as some universal truth for everyone else. You've been pushing this angle relentlessly across several different threads now, and honestly, I’m starting to worry you’ve fallen for some "guru" cult. The symptoms look pretty familiar to me. 🙂

Here’s one way people interpret the Law of Attraction:
'' If you listen to someone complaining and you focus on their words—empathizing and coddling them—you’ll end up attracting those exact same miserable situations into your own life. ''

I mean, what a load of crap. By that logic, every psychiatrist in America would have lost their minds long ago, and oncologists would be dropping like flies from cancer. Not to mention the blatant, immature egoism that seems to fuel almost all these "modern" spiritual concepts we see today.

The psychopathic culture of the West—shiny cellophane on the outside, but total chaos and emptiness underneath. The only thing that can stop it is thought—conscious, free, expressive, critical thought—the kind that actually deconstructs things. We need more of that. 🙂

Well, why does it bother you so much?
I don't necessarily read everything; I just know what the Law of Attraction refers to. It’s like when I see a book title—even if I haven't read it, I instinctively know what it's about and why. When I first came across Transurfing, I was drawn to it because I met someone vital for my personal growth, and I understood every single concept even though I had never opened or read a single one of those books. How? I don't know... I just knew the "feeling" behind everything they talk about, whereas the masses who actually read them often miss it because they can't perceive what they see with their minds. My truth comes from within.

Regarding that quote, when you listen to other people's venting and connect with it, you block your own energy and end up feeling worse (though that doesn't happen without reason; two people can be complaining, but you won't necessarily catch both of them). From the moment I wake up, I have an amazing flow of energy and everything moves quickly. In the past, whenever I felt a surge of anger, I would experience intense physical pain in my chest—so sharp it would force me back into the present moment. That has stopped now, but previously, every time I had a mental spasm, some uncomfortable or shocking situation would occur... (which the Law of Attraction interprets as a response to my low vibration).
But I know that those situations aren't negative reactions to my "bad vibes," but rather created circumstances designed to lead to the release of whatever is bothering me. It happens every single time, perfectly.

Even here on the forum, I don't read 90% of the posts; they don't attract me. Even in the middle of a long thread, I can usually skip most of it. I am here specifically for the school; when something catches my eye, I do what needs to be done. Once that thing is released, I leave. I live by impulse as much as my mind allows me to; I don't live by convention.

Expressive and critical thoughts are, ultimately, products of the ego. They can only help you realize that you aren't quite where you should be. Temperament is great because it can lead to realizations and the breaking of old patterns, but the "problem" is that it often doesn't lead to letting go. Instead, it turns into a permanent state of living out, enjoying, and feeding off that very behavior.

And just so I can point something out to you—you used the wrong example because you misunderstood the quote...
Psychiatrists don't latch onto other people's problems, nor do they feed anyone's illusions (that's what the part about "indulging" refers to), and they certainly don't identify with them...
They don't let patients drag them down into their personal turmoil; instead, they experience the narrative from a healthy distance. If they didn't maintain that boundary, they wouldn't be able to do this work at all. The quote is really about avoiding letting someone else's fear and darkness pull you under, where you end up identifying too closely with them and just feeding that anxiety together.

Steven Cruz3 said:Look, that’s just your personal take and your own taste. 🙂

To me, the whole thing sounds like straight-up brainwashing. If people actually believe their negative thoughts act like a magnet pulling in a matching reality, then I totally get why practitioners are constantly fighting this mental "clench"—it's exhausting. It’s basically living in constant fear that if you have one weird thought, like "I'm going to grow a second head," it might actually happen tomorrow because you "attracted" it. Sounds insane to me.😁

.

I didn't say that; I said we get what we need, not necessarily what we think about...

It is impossible to control every single thought; there are just too many of them, and conscious ones are actually quite rare. That said, if you mean being able to intentionally attract a specific situation through focused thought when you really want to, then absolutely.

Ryan Wilson2 said:You're really talking nonsense here.😁

I fail to see any logical connection whatsoever between my previous statements and what you've just proposed.😁

You're mistaken... honestly, just stop for a second and look at the world around you and the people surrounding you... it isn't that difficult to see.

The thing is, spiritualists here have been posting for years about how our world shifts based on our own beliefs and intentions... and then someone comes along who has spent years posting in spirituality forums without even knowing their own "why," claiming they didn't see something.
Well, of course you didn't, because the universe doesn't work that way. Just like you can't fall off a tree if you aren't climbing it, you'll receive confirmation for exactly what you believe in.

It would be like me going over to a football forum right now—even though I don't care for the sport, never watch it, and barely understand the rules—and spending the next ten years posting about how football should actually be played with hands. I'd do it just for kicks, because I love wasting my time on things I don't care about and don't believe in.

hiddenbear3 said:Having options is one thing, but actually pulling them off is an entirely different ballgame.

It all comes down to how many mental barriers someone has built up that are choking off their own flow. So many people try to take flight before they've even mastered the simple art of walking upright on solid ground.
Personally, I haven't even managed to stand tall yet; I'm still stumbling along, feeling pretty lost and lacking that core confidence. How am I supposed to soar when I can't even walk straight? Having all this untapped potential doesn't mean much if you're stuck in a state of paralysis. Maybe I'll finally catch my wings in some other lifetime.

Or maybe it'll happen in the very next moment.🙂

hiddenbear3 said:If everything truly exists in polar opposites, then there has to be a second extreme—a level of profound knowledge that would prevent you from ever falling from that tree in the first place, though such wisdom hasn't reached the masses quite yet.
There have been certain individuals throughout history who seemed capable of transcending gravity entirely; they were often referred to as those who "stand still," or those positioned precisely at the equilibrium point between gravitational pull and levitational force, where neither force takes hold because they reside in that perfect center where the two forces meet and merge.

That’s because we exist beyond the scope of collective belief, though I suppose that's a bit of an overstatement now...

Our potential feels limitless, yet I often find myself wondering what actually dictates our capacity and what truly sets our boundaries.
Is physical reality just an illusion? in Spirituality ·
Ryan Wilson2 said:A person's character has absolutely nothing to do with the point I am making.

Someone can embody both sides of that coin at once; being ignorant of a fact does not somehow negate the existence of that fact.

Ignorance of the theory of gravity won't stop me from falling out of a tree if I climb one.

Collective beliefs... social contracts...
What you perceive around you isn't reality itself, but just a tiny fragment of it.

The news media is flooded with stories that are just drops in the ocean compared to everything else happening, yet they brainwash you with negativity as if nothing else exists.

You tend to seek out information that fits your worldview while ignoring the rest, and honestly, circling back to the same ideas is fine—after all, we all learn what we learn in this life.😛😁
