It’s because they just don't get that we actually need each other. Honestly, they act all proud about being "lone wolves" who don't need anyone.
They think everyone else is just competition, when in reality, that same person could be their best partner.
And they treat someone else's lack of experience or narrow perspective like it's some kind of federal crime.
Plus, they won't listen to a word anyone else says just because they're too stubborn to budge an inch on their own opinions.
Everything is about them. If there isn't a direct benefit for them, helping out becomes "too much work," and suddenly they're dodging any responsibility.
Look, I'm dealing with all of this myself. I know I fall into these patterns, and I'm trying to shut down those impulses as they happen. I'm done pointing fingers at myself or everyone else—I just want to find some middle ground without all the negativity and selfishness. It's not working for me yet, but eventually... maybe I can finally debug this outdated software running in my brain.
