Aetna supplemental insurance in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Ryan Hill5 said:A buddy of mine picked up some supplemental coverage from GEICO last year—specifically that Plan B for prescriptions—and now she doesn't have to cough up a dime. Even her co-pays for diabetes meds, which usually run her about a hundred bucks, are totally covered. She’s loving it. She keeps trying to talk me into getting it too, but I don't really need it yet. Honestly, though, I'm staying far away from the government health bureau on principle. They gave my old lady a hard time over some supposed "outstanding debt" they claimed she owed. 🙂

Thanks for the heads up. Does State Farm reimburse her for what she pays at the pharmacy?

Medicare told me I overpaid when I know damn well I didn't. Their IT system is a complete clusterf***.

Supplemental plans are only available through Medicare.

If you have a plan through Aetna, what you actually have is voluntary health insurance 😉

That is WRONG. Supplemental coverage comes from Medicare, Aetna, and plenty of others.
Voluntary insurance is its own third category. You sign a policy directly with an insurance provider, completely independent of the first two types. It’s what happens when you carry a Sun card and head to their private clinics. That is 100% PRIVATE.
