For instance, if someone says they’re stuck until Thursday, does that mean they're good until midnight Wednesday, or through Thursday night? There has to be a way to verify the exact end date. If the police pull them over on Thursday evening or they walk into a hospital, the authorities should be able to see their status. I assume they can; otherwise, people could just ignore the rules and wander around however they want because there would be no record showing they're actually supposed to be isolating.

I am planning to switch over to the CDC as well. I tried calling them earlier today, but I couldn't get through because their lines were busy, so I thought I would ask here instead.
What is the monthly premium for State Farm with the B list option?
Thanks.

When are you switching to 75? Is the insomnia wearing you down? Are you managing to get any sleep, and are the dreams vivid?

What dose are you taking? Are there side effects?
I am glad you are feeling better 🙂

I don't recall the exact specifics anymore, though I believe we did try dropping from two pills down to just one of the 37.5mg tablets, but it didn't do much to alleviate those side effects. Lowering the dosage feels futile, and skipping doses—like taking it every other day—doesn't really work with Jane Doe. Unlike certain other antidepressants, this one leaves your system quite rapidly; if you miss even a single day, you're going to feel it.

Send it to you

What is its half-life? About 11 hours?
So, if you miss a single day, it’s basically out of your body?

I used to take Pfizer at the right times—morning and afternoon—but honestly? It just absolutely crushed me. I was a total zombie all day long, and let me tell you, I have no desire to live life as a zombie.🙂

So one day, I just marched straight into my doctor's office and told her... "Look, I'm not doing this in the morning, and I'm not doing it in the afternoon... I'm only taking it at night."
She just looked at me and said... "Well, if that's how you want to play it..."

So, that's what happened. I take everything in the evening and I'm out like a light in about an hour. Then I wake up around 6 AM and I don't feel like sleeping through the entire day anymore, which means I actually got some rest and my brain finally feels refreshed from all the chaos.

When I look back, considering I was dealing with (and still deal with, though less so...) severe depression, social phobia, suicidal thoughts, staying awake all night long, hating myself and everyone else, being aggressive... walking around like a ghost... all those medications were a massive help to me, truly.

Taking Propranolol and Jane Doe at 4 PM worked for me regarding the heart rate side effects.
I am glad your regimen is working and that it helped you.🙂

Most likely... nothing at all.☕

I’m currently on 75 mg, plus 45 mg of Calixta, then there's the 200 mg of Q-pin, along with 25 mg of Lamal... and then Zonadin, though honestly, I can't even remember the dosage anymore. And the result? Absolutely nothing. Not a single thing! Does anyone else feel like they're just throwing pills at a wall at this point? It feels completely futile.

Does an organization eventually just... get used to the nonsense? Is that how it works? You start out with such high ideals, such a drive for excellence, and then, bit by bit, the chaos starts to feel normal. It’s like you stop noticing the cracks in the foundation because you've been tripping over them for so long. Does the culture just slowly rot from the inside until everyone is just nodding along to the absurdity? How does that even happen? It feels inevitable sometimes, doesn't it? Such a tragedy.😢

Why are you taking Jane Doe in the evening?
Maybe a beta-blocker for my heart rate?🤷 Or maybe it'll pass over time... It would be better to take propranolol in the morning, then 75 mg of Jane Doe at 4 PM (after work)... what's left is deciding what to take for sleep?
And maybe I won't even need anything, since I don't have insomnia?!?

I am currently at 37.5 mg, and so far, the only side effect I’ve experienced is an elevated heart rate. I can't help but wonder what would happen if I were to move up to 75 mg.😕

Well, I honestly can't say for certain. I never actually experienced any issues with my heart rate, so they just instructed me to take all my medications in the morning to help deal with my insomnia.
We finally called it quits because I was acting like I was on a non-stop bender of cocaine and speed all day long; it was just too much to handle. At least I wasn't dealing with the anxiety. 🙂
I suppose I am not the best case study here. Many people speak highly of Effexor, and in my estimation, it would be an excellent solution. Unfortunately—and it truly is a disappointment—my medical profile strictly prohibits any medication that affects norepinephrine or dopamine levels. If that restriction weren't in place, Effexor would be the ideal choice for me. I faced a very similar predicament when I was evaluating Cymbalt, and to a slightly lesser extent, Lyric.
I would strongly advise against consuming coffee or tea first thing in the morning.

You would have been the perfect candidate for the night shift back then.😉
Why didn't they try tapering off the Jane Doe, or maybe just taking it every other day to see how it worked?

I'm not sure either. My check-up isn't until Friday, and it's only day 20. Jane Doe helps my mental state; I feel better. I did deal with headaches as a side effect, but magnesium citrate and ibuprofen (is it safe to take ibuprofen for pain while on ADs?) cleared those up.

I've cut out coffee, and tea is next.

It is true, that level of stimulation can be quite intense. Perhaps you should reach out to your physician and see if they would permit you to take your entire dosage in the morning specifically to address your insomnia.

At 37.5 mg, my heart rate is already elevated. I can only imagine what happens at 75.😕

restlesstiger49 said:**Done**—I tried that approach and the nausea has completely vanished. I've been taking those two halves about an hour apart. However, I have noticed that falling asleep at night has become quite a struggle. I’m really hoping this is just a temporary thing. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of "insomnia" while on it?

Me too. In the evenings, I take Effexor along with Xanax 0.25mg and it helps. What else were you prescribed alongside the Effexor?

goldenbison31 said:Well, I actually did have some trouble sleeping during those first two weeks, so my therapist ended up prescribing me some Lunesta to help regulate my sleep cycle. I took about half a pill for a few evenings, and since then, I've been sleeping quite normally.
I've also noticed that how much coffee or tea I consume throughout the day definitely impacts my overall state, so I guess it's best to scale that back to a moderate amount, maybe just one or two cups a day.
I wouldn't recommend taking Xanax... I suspect those types of anxiolytics might not be great for you, and who knows what kind of reactions they might trigger when combined with antidepressants.
As for that restlessness... I do feel a slight sense of agitation sometimes, but I tend to interpret it more as a boost in energy levels. If you know what I mean, the Effexor really helped me feel like myself again.
A little bit of restlessness is sort of my natural baseline, I suppose; it's just who I am. So, in a way, it actually works out quite well for me.
Have you had a chance to talk to your doctor about these sleep issues?
You really ought to mention it to them, because I truly believe getting good sleep is so important...

I haven't mentioned it yet. My check-up isn't for another three weeks, and today marks day fifteen. I will call her tomorrow to move the appointment up to next week.😉

goldenbison31 said:Just a little quick update regarding my Velafax dosage, which is currently 37.2 mg twice a day:
I am definitely losing weight, which I suppose is fine, but — my chest is disappearing!! 😲

To reiterate, because I’ve been slimming down, my bust size has shrunk quite a bit.
Personally, I am actually really happy about dropping those extra two or three pounds, and I can truly feel my metabolism kicking into high gear (it feels almost like back when I used to work out every single day, which is how much the Velafax seems to be affecting my body), but I do find myself missing my feminine curves.
I mentioned before that I was dealing with some hair loss, but that has calmed down now since I started taking some supplements for it.
As far as other side effects go, there aren't any. I haven't felt any anxiety or depression, even though I did find myself tearing up today while listening to a song by Nina Badrić. But honestly, that’s alright; it was just a moment of sadness. Not actual depression. ☕

Everything is fine, provided the depression stays away.😉
Tell me (since I am also on this medication), do you struggle with sleep? Specifically, I wake up at 7 AM every morning, yet I stay awake until 2 or 3 AM at night, feeling no need for sleep during the day. I wonder if this will pass?

Around 8 AM, after taking my morning dose, I get hit with restlessness about ninety minutes later; it feels like a bout of anxiety that lingers all day. I am unsure whether to take some Xanax.🤷

Do you experience these issues? Or did you? Are you taking anything else alongside this?

On a side note, the withdrawal symptoms are starting to taper off. My stomach finally settled down this morning, and my anxiety feels a bit more manageable...
If I end up starting a new antidepressant, I really hope I can come back here and write a positive review.

I truly hope you can write a positive review, too.🙂

electrichound3 said:I don't recall having tremors... though my sleep was a disaster for about three months. I was waking up constantly, and every morning I'd be hit by this intense anxiety. I eventually told my doctor, and they switched me off the nighttime dose of Effexor. For me, the side effects started tapering off after four months. I've been on it for nine months now and I'm doing alright; the depression is gone, though there's still a lingering bit of anxiety and some memory issues. My worst symptom was that "lump in the throat" feeling—it was incredibly distracting at first, but that cleared up after three months. Are you dealing with anything else?

I have a headache today, the first one since starting Effexor. Perhaps it is due to the weather changes🤷. But the tremor is constant. It subsides slightly before I take my dose at 8:00 PM. Thank you for sharing😉

Was the evening dose scheduled because of the nighttime waking or the morning anxiety?
