look, when I went in to pick up my card, I was explicitly told by the bank staff that I could receive incoming transfers and make transactions from other accounts and banks—and I had a guy at the branch confirm that exact same thing again just yesterday
it’s pretty obvious you’re confusing this specific card with a gift card...
Well obviously you can accept payments from checking accounts, otherwise what would even be the point of having the card? The real headache is trying to take payments via PayPal. I'm actually looking into the same thing because I was thinking about selling some stuff on eBay, but I've just got this Visa Prepaid Refresh from Wells Fargo.
@ Amy Williams2 - I’ve been scrolling through your posts and honestly, just as a friend, you really shouldn't take all this stuff so personally. It looks like you’re getting all hung up on gender because of some road rage incident, but man, that kind of thing happens to everyone. Just yesterday, I was actually the one laying on my horn at some guy because he messed up... and I wasn't even worked up afterward, nor did I sit there second-guessing myself, because hey, that's just driving. You don't honk just to go out and pick a fight; you do it to warn someone.
The whole finger-flipping thing clearly sparked a massive reaction, but just think about how you'd feel if someone flipped you off like that.
Let me tell you about this one time a few years back. I was sitting in a parking lot waiting for a guy to pull out so I could snag his spot. I moved over enough to give him space to get out of his car and had my hazard lights blinking. As soon as he pulled out, I popped it into reverse to head toward the spot, but in a split second, this woman swerves right into it. I walked up to her and politely explained that I'd been waiting for that specific spot with my hazards on, and she just tells me she doesn't care. So I told her, "Lady, how can you be like this?" And she goes—I'm quoting here—"Well, you see that I can!" What would you have done if you were in my shoes? I lost it, and honestly, if that had been a guy, I'm pretty sure I would've gotten physical with him regardless of whether he was bigger than me or not. So, look at it this way, you got lucky being a woman. Not that every guy is as chill as I am... but don't walk around trying to provoke people thinking nothing will happen just because you're a woman. My advice? Stand your ground, but if you're gonna go around flipping people the bird, you better be ready to deal with whatever comes your way.
