Sign up or opt out within a 24-hour window. Some lady at the Social Security office told me it’s basically impossible for her.

Yeah, I think they still handle both onboarding and offboarding. It seems pretty standard. There's supposed to be a three-month grace period, I guess.
Jeremy Anderson63 said:Look, you definitely have a taxable acquisition happening here in the US. If they didn't list the reverse charge on the invoice, that's on them, but honestly, maybe under their local laws they aren't even required to include that note. I don't think it's worth making a fuss... as long as the Austrian VAT ID is in the system, it should be fine.
Thanks so much! They actually told me they'd fix the invoice!

Thanks for the help. I guess mine is the last one, except the invoice doesn't show any tax liability transfer. Should I maybe ask them to fix the bill?
So, we got some goods from Italy, but the invoice shows they're coming from Austria. I guess... which VAT ID am I supposed to put on the tax return? The Austrian one or the Italian one?
So, I've got this hotel bill from an Italian place for a stay. It’s billed to our US company and we paid via American Express. Total comes to $130 or so, including their 10% sales tax. Which box on the tax form am I supposed to put this in? Thanks!
Does anyone actually know how the approval process works for goods coming from the European Union? We had an acquisition back in September, but then in October, we finally got the okay for part of the damaged stock. I guess... does that approval go on the October VAT return with a minus sign, or do you just leave it out entirely? Thanks, I guess.
Thanks a ton! Form's sent, difference paid up. Some lady at the IRS told me I probably won't see that interest hit until tomorrow once she finally gets everything logged in.
So, we realized today that we totally botched the sales tax calculation back in July for $45. We were so caught up in the acquisition chaos that everything else just slipped through the cracks, I guess. I'm seeing people on the forums say you can just file an amended return and pay the $45 difference. But what about interest? Who even handles that part? Anyone here dealt with this before?
Sent over my tax filings and everything else back on March 15th. The clerk just told me they don't even have the app live yet, so she can't see anything on her end. I guess... has anyone here actually had their returns or VAT forms cleared? Everything is just stuck in "processing" status.
