So, I stumbled upon this comparison tool by accident, and it’s showing me a much better rate. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger in February when I have to go in for my state inspection to get my insurance sorted for roughly $100, which is about $317. Last year, I ended up paying somewhere around $420, but now I’ve just read somewhere that the price they're quoting might not actually include tax.
Has anyone here actually tried buying a policy online? I'm wondering if it really ends up being cheaper or not—specifically, is the final price on the actual policy they mail to you the same as the one you see while you're hunting for deals online?

So, a few months back, I actually got laid off because my role became redundant. It wasn't like anything was wrong at AT&T🙂, just one of those things. Since I live in a pretty popular tourist destination, I’ve been thinking about picking up a used passenger van—something with AC that can seat 8+1 people. My main idea is just to rent it out during the peak summer season. I'm wondering if I actually need to set up an official business (one that I’d probably just shut down once the season ends) to do this, or if there's a simpler way? Also, if I do go the formal route and start a business, would I be eligible for any unemployment benefits or assistance from Medicare (maybe around $2,000)? Or would I have to be out of work for two years to qualify for that kind of help? I'd love some insight. Thanks!
