Personal loan ads: Legit or scam? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Susan Lewis19 said:Hey everyone... I've been seeing a lot of chatter lately about these loan offers popping up on classified sites. It seems like most of the talk centers around those shady policies where people end up losing a massive amount of cash...
Since there's such a huge demand for loans right now—I wouldn't even call it "high," more like desperate—could someone maybe take a look at this and tell me what's wrong with it? And how on earth could this actually work through a Bank without checking a Credit Bureau or requiring permanent employment status?
Retirees—up to age 82/within 24 hours. Unsecured loans up to $225,000/12 years/3 days. Personal loans up to $50,000/5 years/24 hours. LOANS for owners/co-owners of LLCs and Sole Proprietorships! LOANS for people on maternity leave! Mortgages without credit checks. Washington, D.C. and the ocean! LOANS secured by leaving your car at the Bus Station./Immediate payout! ON CARDS up to $75,000/5 years/Immediate payout! Mastercard, American Express, and Maestro cards! Important! We do not require Life Insurance policies! Just one month of permanent employment required! Current free offer of your possible loan models! Fastest realization of agreed loan models! Blacklists, Debt and Credit issues, or being on a Credit Bureau list aren't a problem! Monthly payments can be up to 1/2 of your income! Pay via salary, pension, standing order, or general check! No guarantors, deposits, or hidden fees! Loan payout exclusively at the Bank. All over the US! Call or text your number. I will call you back ASAP. Sincerely.

Then there's this company with its own website, which claims among other things that they hold an authorization to perform credit brokerage activities issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury... but then later in the text they say Unsecured bank cash loans in dollars, payout within 48 hours!!!! DEBT UP TO 70% OF INCOME, NO GUARANTORS OR CO-SIGNERS REQUIRED!!! Call with confidence!!!!

Thanks in advance if anyone has some smart insight to share...😕

In America, there are over thirty banks, and every single one has its own terms and various lending models. Some of what's listed here definitely aren't actual banking offers. This is essentially just an ad highlighting specific hooks to grab clients; it isn't a concrete offer for a customer. If you're interested in checking your creditworthiness and decide to reach out, your first question should be the name of the agency the advisor works for. If they won't give it to you right away, or if instead of an office visit they ask to meet for "coffee," definitely contact someone else.
Good luck
Getting a loan through an Austrian bank in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Samuel Rivera12 said:Alright, I’ll jump in here too. Back in May, I started my own hunt for a mortgage. I went through one of those local brokers here in the States, just like everyone else. Once I had all my paperwork squared away—we’re talking a full-blown mortgage here—the agent tells me I need to meet with some guy who handles the processing over at Goldman Sachs. She practically guaranteed me that everything would be wrapped up within three weeks. Well, when I actually sat down with this guy, the entire story changed. Suddenly, it was going to take way longer, he slashed the loan amount she originally promised me, and to top it off, he wanted me to pay out of pocket for his "appraisal" $667 even though he couldn't even guarantee I’d get approved! I walked away right then and there, and wouldn't you know it? The agent stopped taking my calls entirely. So, I started looking elsewhere. These new people didn't demand any upfront fees, and they told me I had to submit everything within three days because they were rushing to close before the holiday break. And that’s when the absolute nightmare began. They dragged their feet all the way until November. First, they claimed someone at the firm fell ill, so they couldn't process the papers until September. Then, once September rolled around, *someone else* supposedly got sick. Finally, in November, they hit me with the news that it was denied. All that time, I was just sitting there waiting because they kept insisting there was absolutely no reason for it to fail. That’s my experience for you.

The market is a mixed bag—scams and shady deals exist, sure, but so do genuine complications. Having been in this business for a long time, I've seen it all. I've watched banks drag a perfectly good client through the mud for two months over a simple personal loan. Of course the client loses their mind; I would too. I even applied for a loan myself once and waited six weeks for it!
How do you protect yourself from being ripped off? Use common sense. Don't pay outrageous amounts upfront without actual documentation in hand. Even among our partners, you'll find scammers, but those people need to be reported and kicked to the curb immediately.
Then you have the clients. It's a circus. People bring in paperwork for companies that don't even exist, cause scenes at the bank, show up drunk or disheveled, and then try to lecture me and my team...
What's the best way to seal/protect my surfaces? in Miscellaneous ·
I need a laminator for work (nothing fancy, doesn't have to be a big brand). Up until yesterday, I was willing to drop $400 on one... but not anymore after seeing what happened. $46 per unit at
during a sale at Walmart.
Of course, they sold out before I could grab one.😁
Does anyone know where I can find one around that price point? I'm striking out everywhere.

Mods, feel free to move this if it’s in the wrong section.🤷
