I was at the Mayo Clinic back in September and everything turned out👍, nothing too crazy. I headed straight home the next day since I don't live in NYC, so just stay brave... who's your surgeon?

Not always. I was in the hospital last year for septoplasty, and they pulled my packing out the very next day. As soon as it was out, I headed straight home...

I signed up in January this year and finally got my consult in April. The doctor said I needed surgery right away, but the nurse told me they were fully booked for the year and to come back in June to get on the schedule for next year. So I showed up in August, got my date for September, and I was operated on two months ago. I'm happy with it; you're basically out the door the day after.🙂...And yeah, all of this happened at Mayo.😁

Had my surgery on September 24th. They pulled out the tampons—more like a bunch of plugs, really—on the second day and sent me home. Now I'm stuck dealing with Cysti with Operil and Sterimar, but the worst part? I can't blow my nose. It’s just constant mucus and blood trickling down my throat, which is honestly nauseating. Any tips on how to make this suck less? Cotton swabs for the nostrils, maybe?

So why is it that if you go to the hospital for surgery, you’re stuck there for 5 to 7 days, but at a private clinic, you’re heading home by the second day?😕
