Federal Reserve - overdraft limits in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Thanks a ton for getting back to me
The current balance on those $223 is just... / I was like $1,650$567 in the hole before payday, so if they actually cleared my whole overdraft, there should be way more than just $670 sitting in my checking account : ( I don't get it... meh... I'm heading straight to the Chase branch tomorrow at 8 AM sharp... don't really have a choice =/ I don't have any unpaid tickets or anything that would've hit my account

Hey everyone.
Got a question here...
Is it even possible for a bank to just wipe out my entire overdraft (my paycheck is about $450) without giving me a heads-up or anything?
I was like $567 in the red before my check was supposed to hit yesterday, but now I'm looking at the ATM and it says I have $223 available 😲🤷
I know they usually scale down the limit, like checking every three months if your income drops, but this doesn't make sense to me...😢
It couldn't be a garnishment or some random penalty because I seriously don't owe anyone anything—plus, my account isn't frozen and I still see those $223

Thanks for any help!

Hey!

So... got caught by a fare inspector on the bus this morning because I didn't have my pass, right? Naturally, I just handed over my ID so they could "write up the ticket," and then they gave everything back to me. It says here, like it's some big deal, that I gotta pay $37 within 3 days. But honestly...
there is no way in hell I'm paying that. No freaking way.😛
It says if I don't pay, they’ll file a formal misdemeanor report with the local court 🤷... so yeah, I kind of lost it on them for a second.😳
Anyway... anyone from Cleveland know how the transit authority handles this stuff? Like, do they actually take people to court? I'm guessing I'm not the only one who's been slapped with one of these "tickets," but
well, I'm definitely not the first person to just ghost them on the payment. =)

Thanks in advance!
