It’s one of those heartfelt human stories that really gets under your skin, plus the acting, the script, the cinematography—everything about it is just top-tier. And man, choosing black and white was such a genius move, it totally elevated the whole experience.
I found myself cracking up at certain parts (like when the old lady lifts her skirt and starts asking the grave, "see what you could have had?" 🤣), but then other moments just completely broke me... I actually had tears in my eyes.
That ending is just pure perfection 🙂.

Bruce Dern is incredible. I've seen him in Dallas Buyers Club and Wolf, but after watching Nebraska, I seriously think he deserves an Oscar for Best Actor 🙂.

He plays the psychopath role better than anyone else here

Honestly, this might be the best acting I saw all through 2013... Bruce Dern and June Squibb are just absolutely killing it! It’s wild when you realize they’re both in their 80s, right? Truly incredible...

As for the acting in this flick, you really just gotta see it for yourself to believe it

I hadn't given Matthew much credit as an actor before this, so this was a massive, welcome surprise.
Overall, the film caught me off guard... honestly, it’s better than most of the other Oscar nominees this year.

Oh right, and a nod to Garner as well. Though she felt pretty insignificant and unnecessary. 🤷

Man, I’m gonna be real with you—up until about a year ago, I thought this guy was one of the absolute worst actors out there. Seriously, just couldn't get into his stuff... But man, has he changed lately! In just the last year, he has totally won me over with all the different roles he's been crushing in movies everywhere... He's on a roll now!

And honestly, this might even be his best one yet... there's just something about it, you know? It’s got that total Tarantino vibe to it... 🙂

Man, I'm telling you, the betting odds on Leto are absolutely insane right now... they've got him sitting at like 1.05 to win an Oscar! It’s basically a sure thing according to the bookies... crazy, right? 😬
