Why is there such a "God complex" among doctors? in Psychology ·

It feels good to finally be believed... 😁

I read your post carefully. My takeaway was that people with fancy degrees tend to get arrogant, acting like they have all the answers. Then you brought up your main point.
Personally, I can't stand any kind of manual labor. It’s just exhausting. So, I guess I’ll generalize too. Most contractors out there cut corners, use cheap materials, but bill you as if they used top-tier stuff. Honestly, I wouldn't trust most of them with my house keys—I’d rather they just showed up, did the job, cleaned up, and called me when everything was perfect. I don't have the patience for the mess.😲
And the last thing I want to do is sit there explaining to a pro how to do their job.😂🤣

People actually want the work you do. There’s money to be made. The real question is whether you’re actually putting in the hours, or if you're just one of those people collecting unemployment checks while picking up side gigs under the table.
Then, in their downtime, they love to tear down doctors and intellectuals.
It was the same back in the old days. People used to mock the educated class. They’d talk about how it should just be the laborers, the farmers, and the "honest" working class.🙄

Rachel put it perfectly. Eleven days isn't nearly enough time. Don't worry about becoming addicted; Zoloft doesn't work like that. It’s time to move up to a full pill. You need to stick strictly to the schedule your psychiatrist gave you. Going slow is key to keeping those side effects to a minimum.
Now is the time to gradually transition to a full therapeutic dose. Staying on half a pill won't give you much relief.
As for the breakup and the split, look at it this way: no idiot is worth sacrificing your mental health over.😉
I'm speaking from experience here. I was married for seven years, which makes things even tougher.😲

I have a great deal of respect for every profession out there, regardless of the title, but I frequently run into a specific situation when utility workers—the folks handling our electricity, water, or gas lines—come by the house to perform repairs. Whenever a bit of confusion or a misunderstanding arises during the job, they always seem to emphasize the exact same thing:Hold on a second—I actually have a degree in this, so I think I know what I'm talking about. So, what am I supposed to do now? Bow down and kiss the ring? ☕

I tip my hat to you for earning that degree, truly, but I have to wonder: what’s the actual value of waving a diploma around if it doesn't align with the work being done? It feels a bit hollow when someone tries to lecture others with credentials that have absolutely nothing to do with the practical, hands-on reality of the job at hand. 😠

That’s why you see the local contractor driving a Mercedes-Benz and living in a mansion, while the young guy with the Ivy League degree is stuck renting or drowning in a thirty-year mortgage just to afford a tiny apartment.☕

Residents make $4,500. Everyone else makes significantly more. It's basic math: base salary + bonuses = ??? (well over $8k-$10k).
I’m not saying doctors shouldn't earn more—they certainly deserve it, and society should value their work. But it applies to every other profession, too. It should be based on merit and hard work, regardless of the field!

Even judges at a local county court pull in over $100,000. $0.00 And all they do is pile up an endless backlog of cases.☕

A physician shouldn't even be touching a patient with a low-grade fever, let alone during fibrillation!
doctors are overworked, averaging 12-hour shifts every single day, making maybe $8,000-$3333.

Sure, plenty of them pull 12-hour shifts or longer, but only when they're on call. And they aren't making $8,000-$10,000; that's what the nurses make! Maybe some intern straight out of med school is pulling in less than $8k, but everyone else—especially those working on-call—is definitely clearing at least $10k. Let's not kid ourselves.

Medical errors happen because of exhaustion, sure, but far more often they stem from pure negligence and carelessness!

Don't lecture people on things you don't understand. I've assisted in surgeries while running a fever more than once. Patients can't always wait, and there aren't enough doctors on call.🙄

Nurses making 8-10 $0.00??😂🤣
Nothing beats watching people talk nonsense about medicine when they clearly have zero clue. Even students and interns earn $2667.😂🤣

And "carelessness" usually happens because people are exhausted. 🙄
