thanks a lot....🙂
Could use some help here—I’m feeling a bit lost... I need to create some lines: one dashed line and two solid ones. I want the spacing between them to be about 0.5 cm. I've been messing around with Word 2003 and tried pretty much everything I could think of, but nothing's working. I guess I'm just not the most tech-savvy person out there... 🙂🙂🤷

Bradley Wilson5 said:I have to say, it’s pretty funny reading this post about how a woman can't cover her overdraft at Chase, yet somehow she managed to open an account just to collect dividends

She opened a checking account because she had to—it was for a dividend worth maybe $6...

so yeah, she basically used the dividend to pay a utility bill.

She should just open a bank account. Have her toss a few bucks in there, just for the sake of it.$3.25
Then, once she realizes they've frozen her funds, she can scramble over to a local credit union before payday hits.
I mean, nobody actually said the garnishment would kick in instantly, right?

That's a clever workaround 😉 thanks for the input....

You can find much more detailed info over on the Legal Garnishment thread.😁

Once she realizes the account is frozen, she should probably hurry down to Chase to get that protected account established.

so, yeah—she can probably kiss that first paycheck goodbye 🙂

The only way to get a separate account is if it's specifically for some kind of 'protected' income.

I get that they'll freeze it... but surely they won't freeze the whole amount?? Part of it is technically "protected"... what I'm really wondering is whether they'll actually notify my wife that her account is blocked—or does she just have to wait until her first paycheck fails to hit before she realizes she needs to go open a protected account?

Hey everyone...

I have a question regarding bank account levies. My wife ended up owing some money on an overdraft at her old bank. She lost her job, so we couldn't pay it back. That old account is closed now, but she just received a judgment for enforcement. Now she’s back at work, but her new employer requires her to have a checking account at a different bank. If she opens a new account, will they freeze it immediately? Or will they notify her first so she can potentially open a separate account for specific deposits? About a year ago, she opened a brokerage account at that same bank to collect some dividends, and they paid out the funds without any issues.

Does anyone know how this actually works?

Nah, it’s not for a car—actually, I’m selling my Chevy Astra if anyone’s interested 🙂... I just need liquid cash for some investments. I can definitely handle the payments on this loan, it's just that since I already have one active loan, banks automatically flag me as high risk...

Look, I’m not crazy enough to go running to a loan shark... if I had done that, I would’ve been out of debt way faster than I actually was...

Where can I find a mortgage for $25,000—secured by a property worth about $225,000—without them being too strict about my credit score?
