Is it just me, or does every team feel like they're just cycling through the same handful of veterans every single season? I'm getting tired of seeing the same faces on the workout list year after year. Does anyone actually believe these quick fixes work anymore?
Why is it always like this? in Fans ·
There is nothing more soul-crushing than watching a team fight their way back into a game only to have it slip away at the last second. It feels like we're just setting ourselves up for heartbreak every single time. Does anyone else feel like the momentum shifts are getting harder to capitalize on lately?
Applying for a loan while living abroad in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Hey everyone...
I’ve got a question here that I haven't been able to track down in any of the previous threads 🙂
Does anyone actually have any insight or information regarding loans coming out of South Africa?

It feels like everyone’s drifted off-topic here. We have a woman facing a real crisis, yet you all seem more interested in bickering with one another. My take? You need to get away for a few days. Pack a bag, head somewhere quiet, and make it your sole mission to focus on yourself. Figure out what YOU actually want from this. Once you have that clarity, everything else tends to fall into place much easier.

Don't you dare hand over your payroll statements to just anyone. You have absolutely no idea what kind of moves they’re capable of making. To a bank, the creditworthiness of your employer doesn't mean a thing because they’re already protecting themselves with your mortgage as collateral. If you miss even one or two payments, I am telling you straight: you could lose your house. They aren't interested in negotiating. And if they start stalling by asking questions about the property's location? That’s just code for "I'm keeping you on ice until I can squeeze a commission out of you." Look, I genuinely want you to succeed here, but please, watch your back. These people know every trick in the book, believe me. If anyone tries to convince you they're trustworthy, ask them how the market is looking in Indianapolis, then get back to me. There are plenty of us stuck in this same bind, especially on this side of the country.

Look, I get where you're coming from. I used to moonlight for these types of people—first working with our local banks, then moving up to some big outfit out of the USA. Here’s how the racket actually works: the middlemen have to bring their own appraisers to the table. Since you need collateral to secure a mortgage, they use these guys to artificially inflate what your property is worth. Then comes the "goodwill" part. You essentially grease the appraiser's palm, usually around 5% of whatever loan amount you're angling for. Once you've gathered all the paperwork—including your pay stubs, which, if you have any garnishments or bad credit history, obviously need to be "adjusted" illegally—you thank them for their "flexibility." After that, everything gets shipped off to the USA. A few days later, you grab your passport and head over there to collect the cash. They’ll try to convince you to just wire the money directly to your American bank account, but that’s a sucker's move because the transaction fees eat your profit alive. Honestly, once I saw the sheer scale of the deception involved, I walked away. It just wasn't right.
